He’s been advising Trump through all his victories in the primaries, general election, etc.. That’s all the proof you need. Bannon came in very late in the game.
Some say that Kushner is a liberal but that is far from clear. His family has been aligned with the right wing Likud party in Israel for decades.
The Cruzbots say that Kushner’s donations to New York democrats is proof that he is a liberal, but they said the same thing about Trump.
Kushner’s father — in addition to being a convicted felon — has been a major Democrat fundraiser in New Jersey for years. Jared and Ivanka raised a lot of money — including thousands of dollars in bundled contributions — for Senator Cory Booker’s last campaign.

Graham and all the Neocons are celebrating and proclaiming that Donald Trump just became their President. The NeverTrumpers, the NotMyPresidents now have a President.
The Swamp drainers are left in limbo because one can’t lead to draining the Swamp and at the same time be the President of these corrupt cretins. It can’t be had both ways.
Just a week ago the President was saying to stay away from Syria, to not destabilize the region further by removing Hassad. Now it’s Saddam Hussein all over again.
