The launch of Tomahawk missiles by President Trump has displaced the gravitational center of twitter purists, litmus nuts, conspiracy loons and the even creepier goons that orbit the remnants of the Ted Cruz #NeverTrump camp.
Their latest anti-Trumpism du jour targets Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and spouse of Ivanka Trump. Every loon campaign needs a hashtag, and their chosen identifying moonbattery is scribed under #FireKushner.
The concern, as it is openly expressed by those pushing the hashtag, is that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner will sneak into President Trump’s bedroom and place a pod under his bed which will envelop the elder Trump overnight, replicate him, and simultaneously turn him into a left-wing liberal globalist. Yes, that appears to be the general concern.
Like all similar ideological moonbattery that has come before (primary race 2015/16), there is an echo-chamber of more than tinged antisemitism, combined with a dash of Cruzian litmus testing of all activity. In essence, this is yet another outcropping of the continuing evolution of #NeverTrump. It’s silly, but, alas people take this stuff seriously.
Somehow these anti-Jared people have convinced themselves that Jared Kushner wasn’t part of President Trump’s life prior to June 2015, when candidate Trump planned his strategy, coordinated with Jared, and then announced his run for the White House.
When reminded that Trump’s policies and perspectives existed in his campaign speeches long before Bannon surfaced they begin shrieking, and typing, in some odd high-pitched tones calling forth their zombie-minded cohorts. It’s the weirdest thing since Ted Cruz’s ‘Muh Principles’ pre-convention speech.
The stupid is very strong with this effort.

The reason that Jared and Ivanka shouldn’t be working in the administration, first and foremost, is because they are liberal Democrats working hard to pull Trump and his admin to the left of the platform he ran on and what those who voted him in want him to do. It is fraudulent for Trump to run as a conservative Republican and then hand policy, hiring and his admin over to his liberal Democrat offspring.
Also, Jared especially exposes Trump to charges of impeachment for enriching his family from foreign sources—with the Democrats having a good chance of taking the House in 2018. And yes, putting family with 24/7 access among other government employees is a recipe for a roiled WH and admin.

Yes, but don’t forget the family tie. He and his wife are very tight with the POTUS. My belief is that whether he is conservative enough is not as much an issue as his loyalty to family and Father in Law. Plus Trump knows what his politics is by now and probably needs some linkage to the moderate (or whatever) that Kushner represents.

He is their whipping boy yet they can’t blame any of this on him. Somehow he’ll get credit for the good aspect of the bombing where Trump has now ascended to the throne. Yet the actual act that temporarily made Trump the darling of the elites will soon subside. If Trump doesn’t follow up on NeoCon war mongering soon the media/left will spotlight on Kushner for not having the ability to convince Trump to take Assad out.
Bannon is sitting there winning everything important to the Nationalists without the finger pointing. All focus will be on Jared. Anything perceived as NeoCon/Globalist will be assigned by default to Kushner. Bannon is now no longer their whipping boy yet could end up more powerful
