The German government agreed on a proposal Wednesday to outlaw child marriages after finding more than 1,500 cases of immigrant minors having adult spouses.
The Central Register of Foreign Nationals has documented a surge in child marriages in recent years. As of July 2016, 1,500 minors of non-German background were registered as married, including 361 under the age of 14.
The largest group of child brides, 664 minors, come from Syria followed by Afghanistan and Iraq.
“Children do not belong at the wedding altar, they belong in school,” Justice Minister Heiko Maas said Wednesday. “We cannot tolerate any marriages that might harm the natural development of minors.”

here is my take, not only perversion and sick sexual perverts but I believe that these acts will create a generation of less intelligent and mentally challenged society, incest, and other emotions and even physical repercussions.
Those are only the depraved goat hampers who actually marry their victim. Most just rape anything that moves.

Oh yes. Indeed. Pakistanis and Somalis, where consanguineous marriage is common, have the lowest IQ's on earth. In the UK, something like 60% of the nation's child disability and special education budget is spend on children of Pakistani heritage, who are about 3% of the population.
And yet, Germany hauls off people who want to home-school their children. They are right on top of those people the minute they violate home-school ban.
With all these stories that revolve around muslim men putting their peckers where they don’t belong (child brides, young boys, etc.) it makes me think that these guys must generally have very small genitalia and are ashamed that it isn’t enough to impress a grown woman.
Yeah, of course they’re sick in the head and their religious book is an abomination that celebrates a grown man’s marriage to a 6-year old, but it seems to me like they have physical shortcomings on top of their mental abnormalities.
All in all, not something that any civilized society should want to incorporate.

Note that most of the child marriages are to girls 14 and older.
The draft law being written up by the Germans will unsettle all of these folks. I read part of the draft last week....it’ll say that you must be 18 to marry in Germany. If you show up and intend to stay in Germany (being under 18), then your marriage will be annulled by a judge (mandated, not voluntary). No waivers mentioned yet. Will probably cause a number of people to exit the country and try to find another European country to settle into.
The chief problem that was brewing...was that sooner or later, German men would come up with man-to-boy marriages in some country, and show up with a 13-year old boy as his marriage partner. As bad as the current mess is....this would have gotten a lot more complicated and messy.
The amusing side to this whole story is that you can go back a hundred years ago in Germany and 13-year-old wives were occurring in society and no one made a big deal about it. All that changed in the 1920s.
It wasn't uncommon for 13 year old girls to marry in olden times. At a time when virginity at the time of marriage was important, it made sense to arrange the marriage of your daughter not long after puberty. But note, the girl's parents were the ones deciding if the man would make a good husband for their daughter.
