Trump won white millennial voters. Without them, he would have been crushed. Most of those white millennial voters for Trump are strong anti-interventionists. In four years, a new crop of voters who thinks even more like that will have entered the voting rolls and a large number of older voters who favor internationalism will have departed. This is a major part of Trump’s coalition and will be even more necessary in 2020. Alienate them at your own risk. They will stay home like they did for Romney and McCain if Trump goes neocon.
