Well, I predicted this on Twitter. (right now I’m running at about 95%, missing only Sessions’ recusal).
When I saw that Yertle said that Gorsuch WOULD be confirmed, that told me it was a done deal, cuz Yertle NEVER says anything like that (i.e., definitively). Personally, I think this was an absolute quid pro quo for Trump putting Yertle’s wife in the cabinet. I do not know what else was part of that arrangement-—but possibly more nukes.
I do have one question: this SEEMS to open this option for every other Trump nominee. If true, the Dems are peeing their Depenz
I hope it was painful for the RATs when they got a nuke shoved down
their throats!
Assuming that all 52 votes were pubbies, what happened to the three Dumbs, I mean Dems who said they are voting for Gorsuch? Does this mean that they think he’s worthy of their vote, but not worthy of going against the filibuster? That makes no sense (logically speaking). I can see the other way around, voting for cloture, but voting against Gorsuch. I guess only in the moonbat world of leftist politics does it make sense. That’s fine, we’ll be running strong candidates against them in 2018...
They could also repeal the rules they considered barriers to passing the awful ACHA. Yet, they choose not to....
I love winning...
Victory!
Now pass it for regular bills.
I knew it. This also makes it much easier to get the next nominee confirmed
Best election ever.
Look at Mitch taking them to the wood shed. Acting manly like this is going to do wonders for Elaine.
Yaaay, nuke the POS Demoncraps!!!
I believe they’re also voting on changing the rules that currently require 30 hours of debate down to 8 :)
It’s about time! Good for McConnell! (He’s still on probation, in my book, but this was a good move.)
The commie Rats started this fight. Good to see the GOP finish it. The DemoRats were just going to go nuclear with their next president’s SCOTUS appointment. Good to see the GOP beat them to it.
The senate goes full harryreid!
How nice, executing on a plan...finally.
So we held serve.
Let’s see what happens when it comes time to replace a liberal on the Court.
Good. By the way, not a RULE, it was a customary procedure of Senatorial Courtesy.
Extending a courtesy to pigs like Schumer is an exercise in stupidity.
I'm glad that for once the Republicans actually showed some spine. We know that the Democrats would have done it in a similar situation.
Flame suit on. This is short term thinking. What happens if a Dem becomes president?
I don’t know what the alternative is for now however.
