Don't forget that this will cut both ways. If Republicans lose the presidency and the majority in the senate, the Democrats will be able to similarly ram their Supreme Court nominees through in the same manner.

I'm glad that for once the Republicans actually showed some spine. We know that the Democrats would have done it in a similar situation.

The dems ALWAYS get their supreme court justices anyway.

Now we will get ours, too.

Nothing ever stopped the Democraps from appointing left-wing justices, so the point is merely “academic”....

Ginsburg, Kagan, Sontamayor.... were confirmed with comity, civility, and “bi-partisan” support. It is only the filthy ‘rats who ever seriously contest SCOTUS nominations on political or ideological grounds.

Getting rid of the sordid filibuster is nothing but a plus for our nation.

Republicans knew what Kagan, Sotomayor, and Ginsburg were and didn’t stop them. A rule that’s only used by the other side does not help us.

This statement is accurate, but meaningless. There would never be a need for Democrats to ram a Supreme Court nominee through a confirmation process because Republicans have never shown any intent to use a filibuster to block such a nomination anyway.

there's no question that the democrats would have done this had Hillary won. Tim Kaine said as much.

Which is what they would have done anyway, so what is your point? We should allow our judges to be blocked, but not Democrats? They had even announced this is what they would be pursuing.

Republicans do not vote en masse against the Democrat nominees. They concede they lost an election and haven’t been total dicks.
