CLINTON, Md. (ABC7) — Prince George’s County Fire officials say they are investigating a military aircraft crash in Clinton, Md. just miles from Joint Base Andrews Wednesday morning. Officials tweeted that one pilot reportedly parachuted out of the aircraft.
ABC News’ Luis Martinez reports it was an F-16 pilot from D.C. Air National Guard’s 113th Fighter Wing.

My sister lives about a mile from an Air Force Base runway and sees C5s flying over her house every day...and at low altitude at that.It's occurred to me that if some mechanical failure occurs during a takeoff she could be hurt.

The pilot was found by a civilian in a field and is fine; the plane crashed in a wooded area, and it appears there are no injuries. The civilian though said the munitions on the plane blew up; scared the heck out of him as they whizzed out from the plane; but it appears no casualties.

Could be. I saw somewhere it was National Guard. Could have been doing his/her drill time. There’s always stuff flying in/out of there.

Yeah, like we’re supposed to believe a lit cigar slipped out of his fingers and lit up the payload. He would have been knocked unconscious and not able to eject, let along guide the craft into a safe area.
