Judge Nap: Unmasking Americans For Reasons Other Than National Security ‘That’s Called Espionage’

Judge Napolitano weighed in on Rice-gate, giving us his expert opinion on the subject of unmasking private citizens for reasons other than national security, “That’s called espionage”.

Can she reveal the identity of an American for a purpose other than national security? Absolutely not. Can she ask for more Americans involved an then unmask them and say to her boss, ‘by the way, guess what Trump and Manafort were talking about last night?’ You know what that’s called? That’s called espionage. That’s called the failure to safeguard top secret information.”

Judge Nap also went on to point out that Susan Rice only has one boss, one person she reports to and that’s Obama. He also said that the FBI needs to challenge Susan Rice as to why she ordered the unmasking.

It’s going to be very difficult to prove a political motive for something otherwise legal.

Unless she incriminates herself or is fingered by one of her co-conspirators.

Where is all the surveillance on Clinton and her staff and advisors? Was that unmasked too?

What? You say there isn’t any surveillance on Clinton unmasked?

The only surveillance was on the political opposition? My, my.

I would say she didn’t have access to the info UNTIL Obama upgraded EO 12333...so all the intelligence could be shared.

. . . the FBI needs to challenge Susan Rice as to why she ordered the unmasking.

And ask her to turn in her important bona fides.

“It’s going to be very difficult to prove a political motive for something otherwise legal.”

Seems very easy to me.

Ms Rice, was Trump a national security threat?
If the answer is yes, explain.
If the answer is no, why the hell were you receiving intelligence reports about him?

Since only Trump and associates show up in what she called for, it can ONLY be political. No scientists...no engineers, no CEO’s no USA Company delegates, etc etc

Even if she had the legal power to unmask the names in foreign intelligence intercepts, that power is not unlimited. She can’t just do it to anyone she fels like. Additionally, that gives her no legal power to leak it to the NY Time or Washington Post.

You make a good point. Susan Rice should be forced to testify in front of Congress and asked why she didn’t unmask any communications between foreign citizens and the Clinton campaign team.

It’s called Staci, Nazi, KGB tactics of spying and intimidation to hold on to political power, disrupting our rule of law. I’d call that sedition.

Thats why the “Russia” thing must fly.

If we were surveilling the Russians under suspicion of tampering with the election and incidentally snagged up Trump in the process, we can wiggle out of it if the Russian angle is believed. Maybe.

But if you have nothing on the Russians, it looks suspicious that you were “listening in” to your political adversaries private business for over a year.......
