Yes I fly alot and there is a generality IMO that Southwest has the best, friendliest flight attendants overall. The worst in my opinion is Spirit and United in a general sense. Always exceptions though not to lump them all together. The corporate culture has a lot to do with it too.
In the last 18 months I have had three round trips and the daughter has had one on Southwest from Flint or Grand Rapids, and we have been very pleased with the cost/performance of Southwest Airlines.
Just realize that the flight is just a short time. Just relax and make the best of it. Sometimes they are wild and sometimes they are as smooth as butter. But just remember, it will be over soon.
I would happily sit next to a crying baby or toddler. The sound doesn’t bother me at all.
Have been through it all with my kids
And the worst advertising ever.
Fly to Florida for only $199 !!!1 *
* one way
Southwest has hardly ever been competitive in price even when I lived near Love Field.
I know some love them. But they’re gimmicky like every other airline.
Jet Blue is my favorite! Very accomodating.
Oh, boy, I could not disagree MORE.
I was on a Southwest flight from Denver to Las Vegas and they pulled off the runway and back into the terminal to kick off a lady with a child who wouldn’t calm down. The entire section she was in clapped as she was led off the plane.

The company has a history of hiring people with good personalities, and then promote a good attitude.

I’d prefer peace and quiet-—and I had kids too.
.
Reminds of Cosby’s “Jeffrey” routine.
I’ve four kids. I actually got off a flight when it stopped in Vegas because of an obnoxious kid. I ended up getting a different connecting flight that got me home faster and saner:-)
He would say, "Every flight ends, one way or another."
Damn, I miss him. He was- and still is- my biggest hero.
I purposely did not "pop" my ears one time as the plane ascended just so I could feel what a baby feels because they don't know how to "pop" their ears.
I gotta say, it hurt like hell. It felt like someone was jabbing sharp pencils in both my ears, at the same time.
So, next time you hear a baby cry at take-off just remember it hurts like hell.
Southwest is hugely expensive. No bargain.
