Former President Barack Obamas national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce detailed spreadsheets of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.
What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals, diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.
The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with, diGenova said. In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.
Other knowledgeable official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenovas description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election. . .

And why would the Reps be outraged? They were in on the game.
They wanted their guy, who would continue the Kabuki Theater:
The RATs wanted their gal, who would make us EU2:
...instead, America said FU to both parties and wisely chose door #3, who was neither a Rep nor a RAT:
Mr. Trump has stated several times that as soon as they start reporting what he says honestly, he will be able to scale down his use of Twitter, but right now it’s the only way he has of getting his message out.
“This type of monitoring was allowed because they told us it was necessary”
If this type “legal” of monitoring (”incidental”?) was done, you can bet there’s a whole lot more info on Trump, et al., they gleaned in other ways. This is the tip of the iceberg. Sadly, we’ll most likely never know what other nefarious crap was going on compliments of Obama.
It’s says something about Trump that bozo tried to uncover dirt on him using the full power of the intelligence services of the United States of America AND HE COULDN’T DO IT.
Seems to me he was being unusually careful that time, using quote marks so that readers would not take "wires tapped" too literally. Unfortunately a lot of people don't seem familiar with that usage.
True.
Interesting comments here from a person who studies body language:
But Tina Fey says...

Explains the conspiratorial silence of the MSM on the Rice scandal. They don't want to talk about it because it leads immediately to awkward questions like who ordered Rice to produce detailed info on Trump campaign phone calls. She reported directly to Obama. Either she decided to do this illegal surveillance of political opponents on her own, or Obama ordered it.
Consider the Obama administration weaponized the IRS to try and destroy groups it did not like. The Obama administration ordered an armed raid on Fender Guitar, Fender Guitar!!, as political payback under the guise of worrying about what species of wood was being used for their fret boards. The Obama administration is no stranger to using a phony legal excuse as cover for their illegal activity.
I'd bet some folks can do it withOUT a 'law'!
It sounds like this has gone from the “incidental” to the “intentional.”
Rand Paul has it right; Susan Rice should be sworn in to testify.
The thing about a prosecutor is that bozo would no doubt have used the same intelligence agencies against every Republican he could think of long before Trump came along...
“The purpose of my criticisms is to get him to stop these impulsive tweets...”
This is why you have no credibility with me. Nothing Trump does is impulsive. That’s a false narrative put forth by progressives & the never-trumpers on the right. You folks project your own inadequacies on Trump purely because you can’t seem to comprehend what he is really about.
Trump is doing a great job & I applaud his use of twitter.
“Didnt we learn recently that our intell agencies can create fake prints on documents to make it appear they originated in Russia or other foreign countries”
I don’t think they can tell “where” (what country) the fingerprints were applied. /s
