First Images of St. Petersburg Subway Bomber Released By Russian Authorities

Russian authorities and media outlets have released the first images of the suspect behind the terrorist attack on the St. Petersburg subway Monday afternoon.

According to recent updates, the suspect left at least one explosive device concealed in a briefcase on the crowded metro cars.

Russian press is reporting that there are eleven confirmed fatalities -other outlets have the number as high as fourteen- and over 35 injured in the latest terror incident.

New, alleged photos of the suspect have been released and spread across social media. The photos appear to show a tall man, with a traditional beard and hat, carrying a leather briefcase that authorities believe contained an improvised explosive device.

Russian authorities have also confirmed that another IED was discovered at a second location, but that the device was successfully disarmed, reports a Russian newspaper.
