Journalist/activist Mike Cernovich reports that former White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice obtained intelligence reports showing the identities of innocent Americans who incidentally spoke to foreign officials under security sweeps for spying or intelligence activities. Under U.S. law, U.S. persons are protected from such disclosure, which could be dry-cleaners asking envoys to pick up their laundry or wrong number phone messages spilling their guts about their mothers-in-law. If such U.S. persons get swept up in surveillance, they are protected. But only if they remain 'masked,' which is the law of the land.
Cernovich says the White House Counsel's office has confirmed that Rice was one of the few officials with the authority to make the requests to unmask the innocent Americans caught up in surveillance dragnets. There was no national security reason to do so, but she did. It makes a lot of sense if the aim is political, however, and White House spokesman Sean Spicer has pointed out that their goal was 'to leak stuff.' Based on White House logs, she did, during the transition back when angry miserable Obama White House officials frowned in a group photo for the cameras.
The White House counsel's office disclosed these logs to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, who has been as responsible a steward of America's secrets as anyone (and said nothing). But it would mean that Rice had to have been responsible for the illegal leaking to the press of the legitimate activities of people like her NSC successor Mike Flynn, for political rather than national security purposes. This would be true whether she did it herself or dispatched a flunky like fellow NSC official Ben Rhodes or Joe Biden's NSC man Colin Kahl to execute the dirty-tricks skullduggery.

According to Comey, on;y 20 people had access to these intercepts and the ability to unmask the participants. Further, a person with authorization needed to log in to access these files. Susan Rice logged in dozens of times to access specifically this information related to Trump. Want more proof?

But where is the hard evidence "proof"? Hearsay is not usually considered legal proof. Just what some third party says happened.
So far that's all this is. He said, she said.
That's a lot of what is written on FR lately. Speculation, hearsay and gossip. Everybody gets their hopes up and then whatever it was, fizzles like a leaking balloon. It happens every single time.
It all sounds good but until I see documented, hard evidence or court affidavits from direct witnesses, I will remain skeptical that this will go anywhere. And then I want to see arrests, handcuffs, indictments and some jail time for these "alleged" felons. Otherwise, it's business as usual in DC.
Look how the water has already been muddied with the partisan mud-slinging in the House investigation between Nanes and Schiff. It suggests to me that this is going nowhere.
This is the reason why Nens and Schiff went to the SCIFF at THE WHITE HOUSE. Why don’t you stop your commenting and actually read the reporting on the issue?

My point is, reading Bloomberg doesn't mean you have "proof". They don't have proof either. The author makes a statement and then proceeds to say it is "according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter". But he doesn't name names. He said, they said.
I read the media reports daily on this stuff. That is exactly why I am skeptical. Most of what I read is not based in fact but on unsourced leaks, anonymous sources, unconfirmed well-placed officials, innuendo, gossip and outright faked news articles. I don't trust the media at all.
I'll reiterate, I want to see someone arrested, indicted and convicted of these crimes before I will get my hopes up. I don't know of one case so far during the whole Obama regime or during this whole presidential campaign and election, that's ended up with someone being held legally responsible and accountable for what people on FR call "obvious" crimes. None.
With those kind of odds, I still say this will eventually will go away and Rice will not be held legally accountable.
