As I was doing my BCT (and AIT) at Ft Knox in ‘69 it never occurred to me that General Patton had served there perhaps 30 years earlier.Looking back on it now I find that fact pretty cool.

I attended a wedding at an Episcopal church in Hamilton, MA.

Carved into the wood paneling at the back were the names of parishioners that served in WWII.

In large letters, at the top of the list, was Patton. (And in much smaller lettered list, the then-FIL...)
