Barack and Michelle Obama are dealing with a complete lifestyle change as their time in the White House has come to an end. Sources describe Michelle as having a tougher time than the former president at adjusting to the changes that the last few months have thrown their way. With that said, it appears that both have shifted their attention to their eldest daughter, Malia, who at 18 is on her own for the first time and making headlines recently for her antics inside a 21 and over nightclub.
Recent events have Michelle and Barack worried about Malia, according to Celebrity Insider. Even though she is 18, that is not a magical age where a button is pushed and a maturity level rushes in and takes over. Being out on her own in New York City has Malia spreading her wings and making some less than stellar decisions along the way.

The Obama’s have developed a thick skin when it comes to all the rumors and gossip about them, but as parents they are not immune to the buzz about their daughter and they are not sure just what to do.

They know their daughter has a good head on her shoulders and they trust that she will make good judgments, with a few mistakes thrown in, which is all part of the process of growing up. Still, at only 18-years-old, she is in the Big Apple on her own and after the recent episode in the headlines there appears to be some need to worry.

I generally agree with that - unless/until the kids put themsselves out in the public arena. M. Obama the Younger is a borderline case, as she is 18, living away from her parents, and doing things like yelling at reporters that calls attention to herself. Had she quietly disappeared into some university I doubt we’d have anything more to say about her than we did about Chelsea in her time. When Presidents kids enter the world of work and live on their own, they become fair game for public criticism, youthful indiscretions and all. Just like any other kid, but on a national media scale because of who their parents are.
This article is liberals trying to pretend that the Obamas care about anyone but themselves, that they are real human beings instead of sociopaths. Yawn...Its interesting that such articles are written, utopia must be looking a little shaky.

They all still have SS details, when she enters a 21 and over place, call the local LEO and have them shut down for serving minors. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

I think the wall to wall coverage is elevating her, so I don’t get why even right wing outlets are reporting on her antics, unless they also think they are elevated by proximity to her.

Michelle and Barack are in a dilemma. They are not sure if they should be more present in Malia’s life
They might consider staying in the country instead of jetting around the world. Daddy's ghost writer can just as easily write that lasted book of fiction in the basement of their DC house. And no, she's not on her own with all her SS and that blonde gal she's attached to the hip with. Unless she turns it around asap, her future isn't looking so bright.

For all of Michelle’s reported complaints about the difficulties of living in the White House, it seems pretty clear that Michelle likes living the high life. That includes hobnobbing with celebrities, wearing designer clothing, and jetting off to extravagant vacations on a regular basis.
The adjustment she is probably facing is largely due to a lack of resources at her disposal.
