The Senate Intelligence Committee turned down the request by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's lawyer for a grant of immunity in exchange for his testimony, two congressional sources told NBC News.
A senior congressional official with direct knowledge said Flynn's lawyer was told it was "wildly preliminary" and that immunity was "not on the table" at the moment. A second source said the committee communicated that it is "not receptive" to Flynn's request "at this time."
The senior congressional official also said that Flynn's lawyer had conveyed the offer of testimony in exchange for immunity from prosecution to the Justice Department.
Rep. Adam Schiff, D.-Calif., the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, acknowledged in a statement that the Justice Department's interest in Flynn's testimony could take precedence over Congress' wish to hear from him.
He also said there are "many more witnesses and documents to obtain" before the House Intelligence Committee can consider any immunity request — specifically citing a background check document that would show whether Flynn reported work he did for any foreign entities.

It was rejected because there is no serious investigation going on.
The offer for Flynn to testify was just to get it on the record that he's got plenty to say to the committee, if they want to call on him.
It was never requested by Flynn.
Pre-emptive rejection is a political stunt.

The people who keep referring to his “immunity request” need to be called out.
Maybe somebody should report that THEY have had their requested immunity in a Pizzagate investigation denied...
That's indeed what we know as of now.
If, however, he does go in to talk he absolutely should demand...at a minimum, immunity from perjury.
Otherwise, the libs and some in the FBI will look to get him on perjury charges (i.e. Martha Stewart, Scooter Libby, etc) because they won't have anything else on him to get him imprisoned.

Who told Spence that Flynn lied? And how did that person know Flynn lied?
Did Trump fire him for more than just lying to Spence? For instance, did Flynn make promises to Russia that he shouldn’t have been making? Such as “I’ll have more flexibility after....”?
Flynn asking for immunity tells me he did something illegal. First, that means anything he says is questionable. Second, it proves Trump right once again when he fired Flynn’s sorry butt.

Because the mainstream press it should pushing that he requested and was rejected. And that press is making a BIG DEAL out of this request

Look what they did to Skooter Libby? He did nothing wrong, but they JAILED HIM for “lying under oath” when his memory of events differed from someone else’s (of course they chose to believe the other one, so he must have committed perjury, right?) So he was jailed on WITCH HUNT.
