A lot of people are hyperventilating over Ivanka Trump going to work in the White House with a proper job title. But, as I wrote last week, Trump possesses much-needed poise, maturity, discretion and deft judgement that could be put to good use in this administration. She should be working out of her father’s private study so that she can rush in to the Oval Office at the first sound of a disturbance or a misguided tweet. Liberals, however, are saying that she isn’t qualified for the job, that her position is nepotism at its worst. Well, I’m not going to even mention Bobby Kennedy here, because the person I think is most analogous is Valerie Jarrett from the Obama White House. She was an intimate adviser to both the first lady and the president. Her relationship to them as a soulmate was the only reason she was in the White House.
I’m reminded of when a foreign head of government for whom I’ve done some work met me for dinner a few years ago in Georgetown to reflect on the takeaways from his official visit to Washington. As soon as we sat down, the first words out of his mouth were, “Who is Valerie Jarrett?” He had just left a meeting at the White House with President Barack Obama, but Jarrett did most of the talking. Let’s not forget how much power she wielded during the Obama years. When she wasn’t happy, Jarrett felt emboldened to speak up — even to a foreign ally. She read him the riot act. You didn’t hear liberals criticize Obama for having his soulmate close by. And in the era of the modern family, where liberals say that anything goes, Jarrett was more a member of the family than a professional staffer.

They have to keep up an assault (including all the nonsense we see daily) in order to maintain the focus off of ‘real’ issues involving corruption within their own ‘party.’
If you’re hiring somebody to protect your back you couldn’t do much better than your very competent and loyal daughter.
Looks like they’re not going to be able to isolate the President like the Alinsky rules call for.
All the Dims secretly wish Hellary was more like her.
Many conservatives don’t like her undue liberal feminist influence on the President either, including yours truly.
On top of the fact she has never (to my knowledge) expressed an interest or concern for the issues that got her father elected in the first place, her and her husband are voluntarily mixed up with an anti-American criminal attorney, namely, Jamie Gorelick. Poor, very poor judgement.
This President should be lending an ear to the likes of Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, or some clone of Margaret Thatcher.
Ivanka either doesn’t understand (bad) or doesn’t care (worse) the situation this country is in and what it will take to truly return the USA to her former glory.
Taxpayer funded day care for anyone and everyone is foolish and unnecessary, and “equal pay” is a phony issue that has no merit at all.

My issue is she’s getting a security clearance. What is her “need to know?” That has never been explained, AFAIK.
I can’t read the whole ComPost article but the hypocrisy regarding Ivanka and Jared is astounding. What short memories. I’m not talking about JFK/RFK.
What about Hillary? Bill put her in charge of healthcare reform which, although it failed, was a huge project.She ran secret meetings on that, and was overall the most powerful person in the WH. The press gushed over that. Hillary used it as a springboard to run for office.
Sickening.

Ivanka is not a conservative. Far from it, she is very liberal and that is why I don’t like this. Trump has too many lefties pulling at him and Ivanka and hubby have a LOT of pull.
While this is true, Ivanka Trump Kushner is not a conservative woman.

A more precise description... Fell off the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down, upon impact her face caught fire and they put it out with an ice pick. And that is just the surface. No human language is capable of adequately describing the putrid malevolence that dwells beneath the skin.
Literally heard several people talking today about how she is another gift fro Russia to Trump. So there is also that angle - the democrat conspiracy nuts.
