Why Modern Art is Absolute Crap
And why the cancer is spreading to popular culture.

In Metairie right outside of New Orleans we have some so called “modern art” pieces on our neutral grounds that a 3rd grader could have done. The whimsical twists and turns of bright colored steel make no sense what so ever and I think are hideous. My tax dollars paid for that crap too.
I wonder if we will ever have “masters” again.
Kinda matches hop hop “music”.
No talent in either case.
The Communist Takeover Of
America - 45 Declared Goals
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

“No talent in either case.”
Barzun explains the phenomenon in “Dawn to Decadence.”
Not if the ‘one worlders’ AKA Communists have anything to say about it.
A master at anything implies one that is better than someone else at doing something. That implies individual talent.
Individualism is anathema to Communism.
“We must abolish the cult of the individual decisively, once and for all. “ - Nikita Kruschev
We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about whats best for society. - Hillary Clinton...................
Not a big fan of modern art, but my daughter just won a Silver Medal with Distinction for her painting portfolio in the National Scholastic Art and Writing contest!
We get to go to Carnegie Hall in NYC for the awards ceremony in June!
If you’re interested you can see her art on her Instagram at hiiragi__ (2 underbars) (her profile pic shows her bearded art teacher in a poopy suit so don’t let that fool you)
Proud Papa!
Fronting the patio of the LA Museum of Modern Art are the mangled remains of a crashed light airplane.
As the man said, that is pure BS.
For a perfect example of modern “art” crap, just do a search for “Bluecifer”, the Denver International Airport demon horse...
A group of well known and respected Rocky Mountain area artists who sculpt in bronze offered to make a wild horse in bronze for the DIA location, but the Denver “art” board chose the 32’ blue acrylic horse sculpture by Luis Jimenez (who was killed when the sculpture toppled over on him) instead of one in bronze...Classy, eh?
Proud Pappa: When my daughter insisted she wanted to be an artist I said I would not fund her in any way until I knew she could DRAW and understood perspective. I explained that if she had talent it would not be hard. As part of the 19th century education before the invention of the camera all students were expected to know how to draw. She worked hard, learned, and has for years been a successful artist. s//Another Proud Papa. PS Her works are intelligible.
When they say that art is in the eye of the beholder, does it not then follow that if one believes a pile of dog crap on a canvas is “art”, that reflects the admirer’s own essence as a pile of dog crap?
Heheh!
“If you want a vision of the future imagine a social justice warrior autistically screeching at a human face forever.” — Paul Watson
Absolutely classic!
I think Hartford Ct. was in the forefront of bad art,in the 60’s they payed some so called artist 180,000 to dump some rocks on public property [taxpayers property] and called it a sculpture. Of course Hartford can’t afford to plow the streets or fix potholes but their is always money to be found for the “ARTS”
“Mention modern art, civil rights or folk music, you’re in like Flynn.”
I have a simple definition for Art, if I could do it, it ain’t Art.
I could do it.....but I’d have to seriously question myself as to WHY I’d want to do it.
“I wonder if we will ever have masters again.”
We have them now. Check out artist Alfredo Rodriguez, the painter; and Carrie Ballantyne, whose work is stunning.
