Would you rely on a sensible prosecutor before you went to Congress in any environment...let alone this one. His lawyer would be an idiot if he didnt tell him to get immunity.

There is no doubt that there was talk of kidnapping someone Turkey wants. It is unclear the amount of detail in the plot for the kidnapping.

Sure...shadowy people have kidnapped people on US soil in the past for the US government. ...that won’t be an excuse .

Flynn has to get immunity before he says a word.

Not a hostile Congress, no. But some environments, sure. Otherwise everybody demands immunity in exchange for testimony, and that includes the likes of Comey, Mccabe, Farkas, and so on down the line.

Oliver North played Congress like a fiddle. Good example. If there is a crime, that's for investigators other than Congress to deal with. Congress is not in charge of enforcing the laws.

The land mine when testifying before Congress is that the testimony is available to investigators and prosecutors, those who DO enforce the laws. This is only an issue when a law was broken.

As for any plans to "exceptionally rendition" Fethullah Gulen at Turkey's behest, Flynn could assert "state secret." I doubt Congress would want to open that can of worms. Ever notice how these Congressional inquiries manage to avoid the really meaningful questions? They know how dirty the US is and they are complicit.
