Wait a minute. President Trump's tweet threatens both Dems and House Freedom Caucus.

How is he going to work with DemonicRATS and threaten them at the same time?

Agreed.

I realize that bills originate in the House but letting Ryan dictate the Healthcare plan is like letting Ted Kennedy dictate the Education plan. It can only lead to disaster.

Honestly, I see trumps position on this whole issue as in line with one of the reasons I did not want him to win the nomination of the R party. Thing is, he WILL depart from the conservatives on issues and the question I’ve been asking since 2015 is, how will you feel when Trump is president and you are his political enemy on an issue? It will happen. It may be happening now.

Our local Mark Belling talk show host (who sits in for Rush at times) read the list of FC members the other day, one by one and about 1/2 were Never Trumpers. Odd also that one of our House of Rep. fellows I spoke with personally, the Friday night of the vote, said he was so frustrated that all this was happening in the open and that Ryan was NOT doing his job well keeping the cats rounded up. The Bill WAS bad, was in favor of the Insurance Companies, left the IRS in charge, the “penalties” were paid TO the insurance companies. What??

Newt mentioned why the rush? Get it RIGHT first behind closed doors. Ryan doesn’t want this. Ryan needs to go. Do you see anyone going off the reservation for Stretch Pelosi? She has total control of her house Dems and she seems/acts senile most of the time.

Ryan is a problem, IMHO.

“Ryan is a problem, IMHO.”

And the FC voted him in as speaker. They didn’t even have the excuse of “seemed like a good idea at the time.”

These kinds of threads always cause me to ask myself a question;

Which is more important:

1) Party Unity

2) A Principled stand

Ultimately it comes down to those two choices:

Would I, or you, rather have a congressman that votes party over principal or principal over party?

The Freedom Caucus is NOT the enemy. Trump needs to figure out that he is on the wrong side of this issue and stop threatening the one group who saved us all....including him....from a big disaster.

They have made themselves the enemy of governing and getting something done. The days of ideological litmus tests that don't actually change anything are over, it is time to influence as much as you can and go with it, else own Obamacare as it currently is.

Trump will be FORCED to deal with the Democrats, who probably will not support something Trump can agree to, but at least then he will have something to hang around their neck, causing them to re-own Obamacare. Thus, the conservatives and the liberals will be responsible for the status quo. Then Trump will be able to move on with at least some kind of positioning for 2018.

So, either the HFC deals and gets something done that is less than full repeal without replace, or Obamacare stays after Trump tries to deal with the Dems. One of the two. That is reality. Perhaps the latter is the better path ultimately, but it will result in pulling Trump to the center to get the rest of his agenda through, and the HFC's days of influence will have passed.

This is a B.S. article...

President Trump has been saying for weeks that the pubbies need to get on board...yes the ‘freedom caucus’ knocked down the bill that RINO RYAN wanted, and we are great full for that, BUT if the pubbies don’t get on board with President Trump and turn this ‘swamp’ around, they are going down the drain with the rest of the RINOs...

And yes, President Trump will go and do anything to get this TAX BILL called ObamaCare gone and his plan for the American People, that’s why he was elected...

Just because you don’t think he’s looking out for us by calling people out, doesn’t mean he isn’t...

So for you people out there that are ‘grabbing your pearls’ and ‘fainting on your sofas’ get some back bone, and research these people and then you will find that they are only in this for THEMSELVES!!! They could care less about us, America and don’t want their gravey trains to stop!!!

It is on HIS web site, or was, it was in my mailbox. He's offered up list of things to do, Day One actions, first 100 days, etc. Look, I eventually watched all his campaign stops on rsbn.tv and I and my boys attended three events in person. What we see now is nothing to what he promised and promised and promised.

Maybe it was all lies, that's my wife's response. She thinks media reports about his stability are correct. Me, I think he thought it would happened because he won the election, but he screwed up by embracing people that never supported him: Ryan, Rinse, etc. He hasn't done the simple things, like rescind executive ordera and actions. On healthcare, all he needed to do was repeal first, set law to expire, then sit down with the public and write a new health care law to take over at the end of the year. Pathetic to see Ryan and company, with Trump's blessing, put out a vote first, read later plan that INCLUDED coverage for illegal aliens. Seriously?!

Don't trash me, one of many messengers. Look at the results so far. The big picture, the details. Call it bu11 shi$ if you want, but what we are seeing is a failure in the making.

Can Trump turn this mess around? Yes, of course, but it will require him acting on his promises, not giving in and letting the likes of Ryan lead him along. Making the Freedom Caucus the enemy is one step to saying the Tea Party is wrong and the enemy. If he continues down that path, we'll soon see him cozying up to the chamber of commerce. Oh, guess with endorsing existing H1B, he's already doing that. American workers, we lose. Conservatives, we lose.

On the home page of my GOP Congresscritter’s website this morning:

Introducing the American Health Care Act

We’re delivering on our promises to repeal and replace Obamacare with President Trump’s proposed health care reforms.

I’m a Trumper! ... but he is wrong this time. (Not everybody can get it right). Ryancare wasn’t a lot different than Obamacare ... I do not support “voting for the bill” for “party unity” .. vote for it because it is NOT SOCIALISM ... and this bill was.

He has a long record of this. I cannot believe conservatives who shouted over Obamas record, ignored trumps. trump goes left, not surprising. I am a Constitutionalist and trump is ready to burn it. Stand strong Freedom Caucus, it was a bad bill that singled out and subjected veterans to substandard care, why would trump, or anyone else march veterans to the VA gulag? Sounds like history repeating... and not a good history.
