President Donald Trump sent a blunt warning Thursday morning to the Freedom Caucus, demanding the House GOP group that blocked the Obamacare repeal bill stop fighting the Republican agenda.
Trump posted to Twitter, The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they dont get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!

I still like him. I just think he’s wrong here.
it is not the freedom caucus that needs to be challenged, it is the democrat wing of the republican party that needs challenging.
Heading left! Lol.. what a sore loser! Attack The Constitution.. just wow, I saw it coming, since I remember his reform party run.
The Freedom Caucus made Paul Ryan speaker. They are paid for and owned by the Koch brothers who are more libertarians than conservatives.
Look into it. Freedom Works offered the freedom caucus money to oppose the Ryan bill. They are part of the swamp.
Yes Freedom Caucus 2020!
Go Go Freedom Caucus, the Rinos are sweating.
If true, Trump is getting some very bad advice, as the Freedom Caucus basically saved his bacon on the RINO/RyanCare bill.
Going to war with a group that represents a significant percentage of your base is not a good idea.
Of course, the DC insiders are undoubtedly cheering him on.
Wear tee shirts/signs at next Trump Rally.
Go Freedom Caucus 2020!
Trump is just being true to his real nature - a self-centered big-mouthed New York leftist. The angst around here as Trump continues to reveal himself for what he really is will be something to behold.
They are the RINOs, voting with Nancy Pelosi against their own caucus.
So why does he keep picking on the most conservative element of the congress?
Maybe the Republican agenda needs to get on the team with the Freedom Caucus!
Maybe the Freedom Caucus has a few very important issues that are supported by 63 million voters. The GOPe and the Democrats have too much in common.
“Going to war with a group that represents a significant percentage of your base”
The freedom caucus represents Rand Paul and Ted Cruz types who opposed Trump last year and are back at it again now.
Nothing to see here. They will lose again.
If they had it their way Hillary would be president and Obamacare would be the law of the land forever.
For those of you who have buried yourselves in a right wing cave:
The Tuesday Group is an informal caucus of approximately 50 moderate Republican members of the House of Representatives.
Pretty sure even in a world of Quantitative Ease that 50 is more than 25.
People have to sit down and compromise. Politics is the art of the possible. The Freedom Caucus has to sit down with themselves and look at each other and ask the question:
Can we get Obamacare repealed 100% and nothing whatsoever inserted as a replacement?
The response would be . . . “Jesus put us here to do that”, and “I didn’t come here to leave Obamacare in place.” and “I will never vote for Ryancare!!”.
Then the “leader” of the Freedom Caucus has to nod and look at them and say “I’m sorry, I don’t understand. I asked a yes or no question. Were you saying yes, or no?”
Frowns and silence. The moment they all look around and agree the answer is no is the moment when it becomes possible to do something about reducing the influence and power of Obamacare.
And Ryan isn’t part of the swamp? He’s taken more money from the Koch Brothers than all the members of the Freedom Caucus combined: $130,000 to $55,000.
And 30-some members of the House made Ryan Speaker? I don’t think so...
Last Saturday Trump encouraged supporters to watch Judge Jeanine whereupon she opened her show by calling for Ryan to step done as Speaker. Either he’s conflicted or is attempting to push both sides of the GOP together. I’m not sure he even knows himself. I believe he operates a lot on instinct. I’m going to try to withhold judgment until we see how things play out.
Hey Donald, dance with the one what brung ya.
Trump really screwed up with this one. The Guys in the Freedom Caucus are in very “Safe” Districts. His threat is only going to be greeted with laughs. I am a trump supporter, but sometimes I wish he would run his proposed Tweets by some of his staff before he cranks them out. Ronald Reagan had an eleventh Commandment about not talking ill of fellow Republicans. Trump would do well to remember that.
Freedom Caucus is the only group I see that represents my interests and thinking.
If Trump attacks them, and he becomes just another politician to me. I’ll suppose I’ll still vote for him over whatever socialist the Left puts up. Maybe that’s his calculation.
I know - I am a right-wing extremist and part of the irrelevant fringe. I am told that all the time.
