President Donald Trump sent a blunt warning Thursday morning to the Freedom Caucus, demanding the House GOP group that blocked the Obamacare repeal bill stop fighting the Republican agenda.
Trump posted to Twitter, The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they dont get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!

I’m OK with that. But I don’t want to see a finished product that doesn’t address ANYTHING on the list.
One thing the “Freedom Caucus” agrees with Democrats, they prefer that Obamacare remain in place.
This is back firing on Trump. BAD!!!
Who the hell cares about the Freedom Caucus give me a break!
If they had it their way Hillary would be president and Obamacare would be the law of the land forever.
If Ted Cruz made a promise to repeal Obamacare, you can be sure he’d keep that promise.
I’ll get on board when he dumps Ryan. Drain the swamp!!
Trump is doing the wrong thing here.
Good grief! Dump Obamacare already! Should have been done on day one and we’d be way on down the road to draining the swamp already!
Someone screwed the pooch, BIGLY!
And he needs to get it back on track pronto.
This is NOT the decisive action of George S. Patton. It’s the inaction of George B. “Little Mac” McClellan!
>
They are paid for and owned by the Koch brothers who are more libertarians than conservatives.
>
(L)?! *gasp* You make that sound like its a BAD thing: not just ‘smaller (R) govt’ but a Constitutional govt, no welfare, no min. wage, no....
>
But with the election of Trump, and with Trump’s smiling endorsements of Ryan, they backed off, held their noses, and voted for him like everyone else. If you have any facts otherwise, state them, and back them up.
>
I wished they had rather abstained than cast their lot w/ the “cool kids”. At least make it known your support is limited and not appear to be nose-2-@ss.
Did you vote for Romney in 2012?
Hey Donald, dance with the one what brung ya.
FRiend, that’s a two way street. Something apparently the arsonists in the freedom causus did not consider before attacking the agenda of a sitting POTUS of their own party.
Trump’s healthcare plan page is no longer posted, at his site. (404 page not found)
Here is what Forbes.com had listed, as his platform....
The Trump campaigns plan contains seven planks:
Completely repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate
Buy insurance across state lines
Exclude all health insurance premiums from taxation, not just employer-sponsored insurance
Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts
Require price transparency from all healthcare providers
Block-grant Medicaid to the states
Allow U.S. consumers to buy drugs from overseas
Are most of the above gong to be in the latest rendition of the HC bill??
Fire at will Nathan Bedford!
Now is the time to live up to your tag line! The moment we discussed earlier about keeping your powder dry is over. It’s time to drain the swamp alright. Starting with FR!
Trump is just being true to his real nature - a self-centered big-mouthed New York leftist. The angst around here as Trump continues to reveal himself for what he really is will be something to behold.
Yet the NY liberal has delivered more for conservatives than the freedom caucus and their climbing careerist soul mates in the Senate combined. Who’da thunk it.
Trump can’t beat the Ryans, the McConnell’s and all the other establishment RINO types lined up behind them.
So he attacks the paper thin, red white and blue line of freedom, the Freedom Caucus.
And the freedom caucus can’t get their own bill passed so they heavily damage POTUS’s agenda. Brilliant.
Absolutely. That was the original campaign goal and one of the things (along with border security and tax cutting, etc) that got me on board. It morphed into the current insanity somewhere along the way.
Repeal has passed numerous times before.
Now that Ryan doesn't support full repeal, and the powerful president supports Ryan, the swamp critters throw their support to the politically powerful.
Ya gotta love it, right?
This is to be expected from people who put personality and personal aggrandizement above principles, like freedom. I knew this day would come.
Y’all wackos need to look back to 2009/10 at how the left got Obamacare through.
They had wackos, too. Pelosi forwarded a single payer plan to the Senate from the House.
It was Dead On Arrival.
Reid educated her about the Filibuster and how he could not get 60 votes for her plan. Some Senate moderates would not support it.
So she had to back to her wacko left wing caucus and explain reality:
We can have some of what we want, or we can have none of what we want. There are no other options. Those are the only two. Some of what you want or none of what you want.
The leftist wackos hated Obamacare. It’s not single payer. But they voted for it.
Now then, do you folks want to have some of what you want, or none of what you want?
Donald J. Trump has been the biggest blessing for conservatives since Ronald Reagan. As soon as he does something some of the folks on this site dont like on one or two issues, they start attacking him and some are ready to drop him already (which will be a wonderful way of ushering in Democrat rule again). Have you all-or-nothing types already forgotten what hes done for us?
-He nominated constitutional conservative and Scalia-like originalist Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court
-He reinstituted the Mexico City rule, prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortions abroad
-His AG is currently cracking down on sanctuary cities
-Hes currently accepting bids on the border wall
-ICE has been especially busy deporting criminal illegals because of his executive order on the subject
-Border crossings are down substantially
-He wants us energy independent and has approved the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines
-Overturned Obamas business-killing climate change regulations
-Signed a bill supporting the coal industry
-The stock market and consumer confidence ratings have shot up because of him
-He very soon wants to drastically lower personal and corporate taxes, which will lure business here and stimulate the economy
-He is a huge supporter of the military, police, and the Second Amendment
-His proposed budget wants to greatly upgrade the military, while slashing a lot of unnecessary programs and other funding, including things other presidents have treated as untouchable
-He has signed an executive order requiring that 2 regulations be removed for each new one
-He has instituted a hiring freeze for non-military federal employees
-He chose an education secretary who is a big proponent of school choice
-He is working on tougher vetting measures to try to keep terrorists out of the country
-He is an ardent supporter of Israel and a friend of Bibi Netanyahus
-He has stepped up bombings and numbers of troops fighting against ISIS, which is now on the run and potentially on the verge of collapse
-Etc., etc.
And it hasnt even been three months yet! I hope everyone quits being so unyieldingly doctrinaire and insisting on 100% obedience to your demands for everything. I think wed all benefit too from realistically assessing what can actually be done with a Congress chocked full of moderate Republicans and with only 2 votes to spare in the Senate. Trump wants to get things accomplished legislatively; that means he has to work with a heck of a lot of people well to the left of the Freedom Caucus. Thats just a fact. The FC is strong enough to derail his agenda, but it isnt strong enough to get anything passed alone. We should be thrilled that we have Trump, not go overboard in criticizing him for trying to put pressure on a handful of conservatives, so that theyll compromise and he can actually get some legislation passed and enacted.
