It scares me that President Trump thinks the sun rises and sets with his daughter, whom, IMHO, could easily be a liberal dem.
The mistake was made by the HFC. They are not folks that you want in the fox hole. Weak, pathetic and like to prance about acting like they have a clue. They all must be primaried. They all must be removed. They will fight Trump on everything - from the wall to health care and even tax cuts. There will always be a reason. MAGA.

I think we might as well have chosen John Kasich or Jeb Bush in the primary if we’re going to have a president who’s just going to push what Paul Ryan wants. I supported Trump btw.

That’s a possibility. The thing was so half-assed that they probably designed it to fail.
First things first:
DJT was not elected to be a hard-right conservative (of which I am one) executive. As has been mentioned many times during the election campaign, DJT attracted a great deal of blue dog Democrat type support.That is what won him the election in places like MI, WI, PA. However, he is hard right on things that matter to us (and them), like immigration/refugees/Obamacare/military/radical Islam/SCOTUS, etc.
But, something I read over at LS’ twitter feed made sense to me: that the FC kept moving the goalposts during the Obamacare debate. If true, and I believe the professor (since he has contacts over there that I do not have), that would be an absolute no-no in dealing with a DJT. It means that they were dealing in bad faith. Once you have burned someone by dealing in bad faith, especially in a matter so public, you have lost their trust. Perhaps for good. If true, DJTis wise to be cautious of dealing with them.
Regardless of how much I may agree with their positions on issues.
He needs to be able to count on their words.
