Outraged? And she sent the kid BACK into that nasty environment because?????

And I comment with the same comment: Why is that child in public school? Why is any child in public school? Everyone has reasons, I suppose, depending on what is more important than one’s children and works out usually to well, it is more convenient to turn them over to the State for most of the day.
This zero tolerance policy is just a method of indoctrinating young minds against gun ownership in their later years. the motive for this type of indoctrination is obvious. Totalitarians are very vulnerable to armed asymmetric resistance.
I suspect the progressives feel that if they can brainwash kids into thinking toy guns are evil and that playing soldier or cops and robbers is not something good people do, they will be too scared to own a real gun as an adult. When that generation grows up, the liberals will have essentially achieved a gun-free society.
If that were my 5-year-old daughter in that situation, I'd take that stick and shove it up that principal's ...

Responding to reports of the so-called “stick gun” incident, please be advised that the Hoke County Schools, like all U.S. public school systems, is barred from disclosing information involving an individual student’s conduct under the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). While parents are always free to share publicly their understanding or viewpoints regarding their child’s school experience, in the absence of prior, written authorization by the parent, public school systems are barred by FERPA from discussing those same matters.
That being said, the Hoke County Schools recently received full re-accreditation from AdvancEd and is committed to maintaining safe, orderly, and inviting learning environments for all students. School system policy prohibits retaliatory isolation of individual students, and the system’s first priority is to provide every available opportunity for student success.

You hear of girls being suspended for having Midol in their purse. Now any thinking person would be sympathetic and ignore it but noooooo.
