ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) - A North Carolina jewelry store is getting lots of attention over its newest billboard.
.
.
.
Several people contacted News 13 to say they were upset about the billboard.
Ellen Perry is one of them. Perry is a literature and humanities teacher at UNCA and AB Tech. She is planning a protest outside the store on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Perry told News 13 she's supported by the Women's Rights Committee, Stronger Together WNC North, and the Equal Rights Amendment Committee within Indivisible Asheville.
Perry said she will continue to organize protests until the billboard is taken down.

OUTRAGED!!
Take a number and get in line, dear.
An opportunity for even MORE good advertising:
Invite 5 randomly-selected women and Snowflake Perry to a prominent location.
Throw the first woman a gem (set or unset) worth at least $500.
Do the same for the next four.
And when you come to Perry “No soup for you”!!!!
News coverage out-the-wazoo, and a boatload of personal satisfaction, all for just a couple of thousand bucks from the advertising budget.
I noticed that too.
Empty, like her soul.
You mean like tinfoil?/sarc
The idiocy of these perennially offended feminazi’s reminds me of another one for a beer (can’t remember which one) - the caption said: “Finally, a cool Latina.”,
I thought that was clever as well; obviously meant to be complimentary.
But, you know the rest of the story...
When community college is to hard, WNC is always there.
Now that’s what I call superb marketing to those with brains.
A Muslim jewelry story (if there is such a thing) should try the identical billboard and see what happens.
Or rather does not happen.
*THAT* is what they are freaking out about?!
What a bunch of whiners.
I found myself at a mall in Florida this weekend, walking by a store called
“The Body Shop”... the most prominent image in the front window
was a poster of two scantily clad teen-looking females in embrace with
the words “Make love not war”... Frankly, I found that objectionable...but do
you think I’d get favorable media coverage if I organized protests?
Get a life...
“I just love women with flat heads. A place to set my drink!”
Roseanne Barr used to say she loved being married to a bald man. She always had a place to put her gum at night.
I saw a bumper sticker recently that said “If you are going to ride my ass, at least pull my hair.”
After I stopped laughing, I thought about being offended. Decided against it.
You know, I just never cared for jewelry as an obsession and my wedding band is just a simple gold band. The engagement ring is impractical to wear around here and it sits in the safe.
It is as bare as Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard. It proves that there are intelligent men in North Carolina.
Some people have taken victimhood to a whole new level.
Which is why the phrase, “precious snowflake” was coined.
Here is the deal: Everyone perceives everything in their own unique way. This means that EVERYTHING you say will offend somebody. So you take into account your culture and act accordingly, knowing you will rile up a snowflake or two from time to time.
I think this whole issue will have a happy ending.
I’m reminded of that line in The Incredibles: When everyone is super, nobody is super.
To wit: When everything brings condemnation, nothing brings condemnation.
Liberal snowflakes bawling over insensitivity yet again. I wouldn’t mind if those kinds of rocks were thrown at me ....
She’s jealous no one has thrown one at her.
I’ll take a few lumps of coal in my Christmas stocking.
She was probably part of that pink hat demonstration, led by that muslimette, who supports throwing rocks at women to kill them.
