Ted Koppel tells Sean Hannity he is bad for America

In a report that aired on CBS’ “Sunday Morning” about the polarization of politics and the media in the Age of Trump, “Sunday Morning” special contributor Ted Koppel charged Fox News host Sean Hannity with contributing to the increased antipathy toward opposing viewpoints that is prevalent in America.

Hannity made no qualms about presenting his own conservative agenda, but objected to Koppel characterizing his viewers as not being able to discriminate editorial content from news.

“We have to give some credit to the American people that they’re somewhat intelligent and that they know the difference between an opinion show and a news show,” Hannity said. “You’re cynical.” “I am cynical,” said Koppel.

Good reference. Are these two related because the guy playing doc on the Love Boat now looks a lot like Ted Koppell minus the rug on Ted’s head.

haha I was trying to think of the nickname they called the short guy with the mouse face on the Love Boat. I was thinking beaver but I knew it didn’t sound right. Thanks for the name.

If Howdy Doody is Chealsey Clinton’s uncle then does that mean John Kerry and Ted Koppell are the father of Chealsey?

I don’t recall this concern when Michael Moore’s phony agitprop was being nominated for Oscars in the documentary category.

As Koppel’s Nightline evolved it became apparent that
it supported the liberal POV. And more and more Americans
were increasingly aware that the media had a left bias.
On occasion the Nightline program would explore the bias
complaints from the right. Of course, by the end of the
program Koppel always divulged the “truth” which, of
course, was pre-determined. His truth was that reporters
just wanted to challenge the powerful and there was no
particular bias. We all know that was a lie. Thank
Koppel and the MSM for the growth of the alternative
conservative media. Teddy should point the finger at
himself.

Wasn’t this the guy who got his jollies by counting American soldiers KIA during the Gulf War?

Before that, didn’t he have a running count of how many days Americans were held hostage in Lebanon?

He’s a real patriot, he is.

We could both be right. I believe it was a CNN Fake Reporter named Bernard Shaw who refused to provide details to American military planners about what he saw or knew or heard while he was holing up in some Baghdad hotel during the first few hours (maybe even days) of the war.
