Democrats are smiling in D.C. that the Freedom Caucus, with the help of Club For Growth and Heritage, have saved Planned Parenthood & Ocare!

LOL.
Right. Then they ought to outlaw cancer while they’re at it. LOL.
‘I am increasingly feeling as if our country is sunk.’
If our country is sunk, it happened long before this. The old saying, ‘I went broke slowly and then all at once.’ comes to mind. We will be like the wounded animal or person flailing away until it is all over. Our biggest problem is the ones supposedly on our side who will always turn away at the critical time. I am not talking about the Freedom Caucus, I am talking about the RINOs. Every Republican voted for a repeal bill less than 2 years ago. If we are sunk, we are sunk. God help us, but more importantly, may He help our children and grandchildren who are increasingly being led into a ‘New Dark Age’.
I’m sure Ryan would be willing to put forth such a simple repeal bill PROVIDED the Freedom Caucus agrees to quid pro quo — meaning when that simple bill fails utterly they must promise to agree to replace. There is no point in putting out the repeal bill, having it not get even 25 votes in the Senate and . . . then do nothing. What point would there be to that? What would you learn? That there are moderate districts and states? Don’t you already know that?
Yeah, then I somehow hoped that Trump would break that RINO stranglehold. Instead he’s lined himself up with liberal Democrats as his closest advisors (Jared, Ivanka, Gary Cohn, etc.) with RINOs (apparently Kevin McCarthy, as well as Priebus, Pence, Ryan, etc.) right behind.
So he rolls out a uniparty horror bill and uses the excuse of the freedom caucus holding to some conservative principles to take his ball and go play exclusively with the Democrat/RINO uniparty.
What might be most galling of all is how the Never Trump RINOs might actually have been right about him being too liberal—even for them.
“Buying insurance across state lines is not going to lower the premiums one penny.”
It will lower prices, but you’re correct it won’t be all that remarkable. Auto policies for similar coverage vary in the hundreds. But even the cheapest is still expensive.
Nothing unmerited.
You would learn who votes against it.
It would be invaluable, and it would be much less damaging than the mess that has just happened.
Supporting Trump is not a suicide pact. That bill was a POS. WTF has the GOP been doing for seven years?
Trying to blame the Freedom Caucus and Heritage is pure horsesh*t. Ain’t nobody to blame but the GOP for that failure.
Trump is as wrong as an umbrella in a blizzard on this one.
Sell that horseh*t somewhere else. You don’t slap your wife to motivate her.
Don’t be a sycophant.
But you already know who votes against it. They will tell you in the conference meetings. You gain no info.
You gotta govern.
You think it’s a terrible bill? Produce a better one that will get moderate votes in a filibuster environment.
I’ll wait here for you.
And btw, if you want to produce a repeal only bill and put it up, Ryan will likely agree to that PROVIDED you agree to work on a replace bill when repeal only fails. If you won’t agree, then why are you having him waste time?
Maybe it was for purity sake, but most of the Freedom Caucus, and the Republicans in general, have been running on a platform of repeal the damn thing for 8 years and at least they are being true to what they believe got them elected.
Funny how that only applies to Democrats & Liberals?
If he does that, he’ll lose one third or more of his base and he’ll never get anything out of Congress except more liberal sh*t sandwiches.
So Ryan was nominated and re-nominated as Speaker despite being a rabid neverTrumper and an Obama fluffer
So now when Trump has to deal with their chosen 'representative' and craft some POS bill designed to fail....They get hysterical and point fingers at Trump.
Morons.
I imagine that Trump is a lot more privy to information than we are.
Before today, his political instincts have largely been spot on, and he also unloaded on Ryan as well just a few Tweets before that.
Perhaps he believes that the HFC and the RINOs were all working on behalf of the Uniparty and never intended to pass any bill at all, which is why he walked away.
Candidate Donald Trump endorsed Paul Ryan against his primary election opponent.
Every member of the Republican Party in the House voted for Paul Ryan to remain as Speaker, except for one, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a member of the Freedom Caucus.
