Violence erupted at a “Make America Great Again” rally in California Saturday when supporters of President Trump clashed with a group of counter-protesters.
Multiple skirmishes broke out after a group of black-clad Trump haters confronted dozens of the President’s supporters as they marched through Huntington Beach.
At least two Trump fans were hit with pepper-spray — setting in motion a wild fracas that saw the President’s supporters attacking a masked man with their fists, feet and flags.
Jennifer Sterling, who organized the rally, was among those struck by pepper spray. “It was a quick reaction,” she said. “There was about 12 of them.”

The article is purposely misleading by calling Trump supporters counter protesters. If this was a rally then there is no such thing as a counter protester.
Perp should have realized that 1) it’s hard to run away on sand and 2) its really hard to run away with a police dog clamped onto your foot. That’ll leave a mark tomorrow....

While I second that idea I have heard that if you’re not on the way to a baseball game as a participant, possession of a bat is considered possession of a deadly weapon and will get you flack from law enforcement.
May I suggest using an offensive weapon that can be open carried and will NOT be taken away from anyone possessing it by any police officer or security personal at any event. I’m talking about a good old fashioned walking cane. Google Cane-fu for more information.
