An Illinois mom behind a viral Facebook post spoke to Fox 2/News 11 Wednesday.
Her son, Hunter, 4, has been suspended from his preschool for bringing a shell casing from a fired bullet to school.
He'd been at the preschool for about a year, she said, and now was in tears.
Neither she nor Hunter's dad knew it, but he found something he thought was pretty neat and he took it to school Tuesday to show his friends.

Well....when I was escorted to the office for a sit down. I was handed a tiny .22 empty brass casing. Not a "shotgun bullet". He found it on the ground, expelled from a 22 Rifle over the weekend, while Hunter was target practicing with his Police Officer Grandpa. He was so excited, and snuck it to school to show his friends. We had no idea about it.
I was handed a piece of paper. No words, just eyebrows raised in disgust at my son, explaining that his behavior warranted a 7 school day suspension. Which I still was expected to pay tuition for, of course. And a threat that if his enthusiasm for guns continued, he'd be permanently expelled.

That’s no shotgun bullet. That’s a shooty AK47 ghost gun bullet!
This pretty much sums the insanity of the left:
An expended / empty .22 shell casings is considered a deadly weapon and the four year-old child is danger to his classmates, but an 18 year-old illegal alien “man” was not considered a danger and allowed to enroll in high school as a freshman and attend classes with prepubescent 14 year-old girls, one of whom he gang-raped in a school bathroom.
Since the parents had to apply for their child’s entrance, I’m going to go out on a limb and say there was probably some sort of student handbook with behavioral expectations as well as information for parents including discipline. There was probably something in there about ‘zero tolerance’ for weapons, violence, bullying, self-defense, as well as the 1st and 2nd Amendments not applying. Okay some of that was sarcasm. But, the obvious point is they probably knew there was a zero tolerance policy but they also probably never thought their child would be any real trouble because he’s a normal kid.
Unfortunately, that zero tolerance stuff targets normal, does away with common sense, and attempts to normalize the abnormal. I’m sorry they’ve had this experience but I am glad they told everyone about the school’s ridiculous and over the top response to a child bringing in such a harmless thing. I’m sure the school won’t miss the bad publicity but I think they should immediately remove their son from the school. It’s not really a good match for their family.
The brass end of a bolo tie fell off one time and then I thought; “Hey, I’ll crimp a .22 casing on there.” You could hardly tell the difference and I also got to say sometimes “I hope my tie doesn’t go off.”
Those are the old ones. Now with 1,000 round automatic assault clips
I’d being suing for emotional distress - this can affect his relationship to school the rest of his life -
Some thing like this should go all the way to the SCOTUS -
This crap needs to stop!
The fact that this dumb a^s teacher and school labeled a tiny spent 22 casing as a ‘shotgun bullet’ should illustrate the inanity
To do that you'd need to stop paying taxes.
That imbecile of an educator and her bosses would soon get a visit from my attorney -- and I'm normally non-litigious...
I think those are the bullets that come in thousand round clips.
Depleted-uranium bullets!
Regards,
Stupid me, I was tinkering around in the garage one day and I removed the bullet and powder from a 22 round. I carried the casing around in my pocket for a week. Bored while in my Chemistry Class, I decided to heat casing over a bunson burner... just because. Ten seconds later — BOOM!!! I forgot about the primer! :(
The class was instantly quiet as the teacher, with a smile on his face, calmly walked over to my bench and asked what I was doing. I told him “nothing.” He said okay, and walked away. Nothing more was said about it.
Yeah, 100% agree on the overstrike.
Put that on your resume in the future.
Edcation:
Kicked out of pre-school for brining an empty .22 casing.
Avoid the rush. Use the "suspension" time to find a decent pre-school or just keep the lad at home for the rest of the year.
Then you can tell the school to take a flying leap. Be sure to tell the parents of your son's friends what you are doing and why, although they probably already know. You might even get a couple of them to go along with your "self-expulsion", then you can set up play dates for the kids with a little surreptitious education thrown in.
I’m surprised they did not call CPS and have the State kidnap thei child.
“It’s Troy Jake”
Ferguson is just across the river.
No wonder that most “educators” are considered subhuman retards. STOP ABUSING CHILDREN!!!
I think I even see a case-tear there.
