You didn’t vote for President!

Well, in CA your vote wasn’t missed, just like mine for Trump/Pence didn’t matter.

I didn’t need to change my mind because from the day (June 16) he and Melania rode down that escalator in Trump Tower, I was sold on Donald John Trump!

I might add, that I had never been a “fan” of his. Never watched an episode of his TV series, The Apprentice.

In fact, prior to that escalator ride and his subsequent speech, I viewed him as a rather interesting, humorous and highly opinionated “New Yorker.”

My epiphany came when right off the bat he took on John McCain. The GOP machine called down Hell on him, and he didn’t flinch. I knew then he was the real deal.

This was me as well. I simply liked his straight from the hip talking points about illegal immigration and securing the borders; the single biggest threat to the USA today. There are others but that one is the biggest. He had me right then as a supporter.

I ran to find his book “Art of the Deal” to learn who he was and what he might be like as president. I loved the book and respected the man from that day on. And he is an opinionated New Yorker, a street fighter. I recognized that in his manner of speaking. Talk to any lifetime New Yorker and they will sound the same. People who are not used to it and off-put by it.
