Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.
Ryan was caught on an audio file from October—obtained by Breitbart News and published a couple weeks ago—saying he is “not going to defend Donald Trump—not now, not in the future.” While the audio file does not make the comments clear, Ryan’s staff later claimed that it was specifically about the Access Hollywood tape scandal from the election. The audio tape of Ryan, recorded from a House GOP members’ conference call, does not make that context clear.
Many allies of the president and several White House officials over the weeks since have confirmed to Breitbart News that the president is concerned that Ryan may not have his—or his agenda’s—best interests at heart. Ryan’s failure to deliver the votes on healthcare cement Trump’s skepticism of Ryan, they say.

Seriously president Trump will be back here at the table for Healtcare but its going to be on his terms.
Ryan totally blew the mandate we voters gave the republicans to repeal Obamacare! He should resign and the republicans should elect a speaker with the determination to do whatever is necessary to repeal Obamacare and then get on to cutting spending, cutting regulations, cutting government and cutting taxes (rinse and repeat)!

We have a Speaker that can’t simply REfuknPEAL the worst health insurance bill ever.
He couldn’t do it with around a 20 plus majority in the House.
He couldn’t do it with a Great President on Fire for MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
He couldn’t fail without having his own personal press conference and stating that it looks like obamacare is here for the foreseeable future......

RYAN’S PROBLEM IS THAT HE THINKS 400 PLUS CONGRESSMEN ARE AS GUILLIBLE AND DEFENSELESS AS THE PEOPLE IN HIS DISTRICT.
WE must rid ourselves of this little boy who thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. If we do then we can say we had a win-win. Got rid of a big lie healthcare plan and a big liar.

Repealing Obama care simply word for word would bring an end to all these phony games.

Exactly. Just like Trump engineered Priebus’ exit from the RNC. Trump is 3 steps ahead of every conservative.
You are dreaming. This fiasco just empowered Ryan. He delivered votes. OTOH, “conservatives” were MIA. POTUS will take note of who was in the trenches with him. I’ll buy you a clue: it wasn’t beltway “conservatives”.

First, a vote of “no confidence” for the present Speaker.
Then, concentrate on getting a REAL Republican, most certainly a conservative, slotted for the job. Nancy Pelosi need not apply.
You know, an actual conservative, like Republicans pretend to be.
Thanks to those “actual conservatives” we are now stuck with kenyancare lock, stock and barrel. How principled and conservative of them.
Worse than that, they willingly served as the token opposition to make sure he didn’t lose (see also: Jeb Bush 2016).
It would seem to be his plan. Reshape the battlespace.
