WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Republicans' capstone health care overhaul seemed in dire trouble Friday as Speaker Paul Ryan weighed strategy at the White House with President Donald Trump. GOP lawmakers and aides said they lacked the votes to succeed in the House, just hours before a do-or-die showdown demanded by Trump.
GOP leaders pushed toward a climactic House roll call, but their promise to stage the vote increasingly looked like a losing gamble for the new president and his GOP allies in Congress.

President Trump should use executive orders and diectives to his cabinet to gut the worst parts of the “Affordable Care” act at a time. If the `rats don’t like it, that’s too bad.
We didn’t give the GOP two branches of government so they could shrug and give us more excuses: “We need all 535 seats and even then there are things you plebs don’t understand, like federal judges are mean and (whinging) ... “ It was simple math. Ryan lost, as he knew he would. Why is he still speaker? Comey and Ryan have got to go.
Time to move on to national security, the wall, gutting alphabets, etc., and telling `rat district court judges to pound sand.
Better no bill then a bad bill!
There is no big rush to put this up.
Oy, the GOP messed this up so bad..they could have made a simple bill, brought Republicans into a room, and created something SIMPLE and good..seriously there was NO rush on this bill..they could have let Obamacare die out because it was dying out, and then in the Summer come up with something, this was NOT a priority..tax reform, other issues far more important than this, instead they created this crap sandwich and piled more stuff on it to make it look good it was bound to fail
Thank you quislings in the Freedom Caucus who are just sooo much more conservative than everyone else. When the rest of the quislings are exposed by a roll call vote we’ll know who are enemies are. We might not be able to get rid of all of them but we’ll get rid of some of them and that’s a project I’m all in for. You pos who won by 5 points or less watch out.
They just pulled the bill after Ryan went to Trump to say they do not have the votes. Ryan handled this wrong from the start excluding the Freedom Caucus till the end. Trump tried to accommodate them to some extent in the end but it was mishandled by Ryan.
Now just ask yourself why is it always the republicans dropping the ball in spite of the mandate they have been given on more than one occasion? Its because they are part of the cabal.
The idiots are still trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Dump the damn pan known as odumbo care and turn the task over to the private sector to come up with something that actually WILL work for EVERYONE, including our elected officials, they need to be included into not protected from a plan that covers EVERYONE.
I cannot improve upon your pithy pronouncement, except to suggest that they are not so much wimps as liars:
They actually prefer us to think they are weaklings and cowards, so that we will not realize instead that they are leftists and traitors.
They were raised in the same elitist neighborhoods. They were enrolled in the same private schools. They were taught by the same leftist professors. They were destined to become the same sort of shyster lawyers.
They are the Uni-Party: united in their hatred of We The People, and their contempt for the Constitution of the United States.
As Luba ( a Canadian musician) once said:
Let it go,
let it go,
let it free your body
let it free your soul,
let it go
