Facebook ^ | March 24, 2017 | Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11)

Posted on 03/24/2017 8:15:30 AM PDT by C19fan

“Seven years after enactment of Obamacare, I wanted to support legislation that made positive changes to rescue healthcare in America. “Unfortunately, the legislation before the House today is currently unacceptable as it would place significant new costs and barriers to care on my constituents in New Jersey.

It seems this episode has revealed there is no let us say a conservative majority for some sort of free market for medical care. Too many RINOS are with the Democrats on this.

So do you vote NO to give Pelosi and the media a massive victory or vote yes knowing it would go to the Senate for more changes and then back to the House where it could be worked on longer and made better (hopefully)? I say vote Yes and continue the process. Never give the game/set/match to Pelosi and her lunatics if you can help it at all.

If the House is pushing RyanCare/ObozoCareLite now, why should we trust they suddenly will push a conservative, Free Market based bill when it returns from the Senate?

Because there is no other choice but to have to work with the idiot congress that continue to re-elect, and the idiot speaker that it continues to re-elect.

Otherwise we get to keep Obamacare. YAY!

Ly’n Ryan 3 part bill!
Part 1) RyanObummerCare Lite and then promise part 2 after the 2018 elections.
Part 2) RyanObummerCare alittle bit lighter and the promise full repeal and replace after the 2020 elections.
Part 3) crickets... under the new Dem Prez because what’s left of US will stay away from the polls again like in 2008 & 2012!

It would go to the Senate for changes that make it worse. Of course, vote no! (it’s dead already)

Ryan and the RINOs have kicked the can down the road too many times.

Why not "make more changes" and "make it better" now?

Let the vote fail.

They can come back to it later when they come to their senses.

Yep, some truly believe you can polish a turd because it’s (R) sh!t.

Others are taking an ‘Art of the Deal’ approach: Conservatism through riders\amendments. They should re-read the definition of “compromise” (Hint: it *should* meet-in-the-middle).

Too many here seem to be all too willing to discard the Constitution and be given crumbs (1/2 baby step ‘back’ of Fed. over-reach)...just because.

I vote this: This should have never been allowed to be brought to a vote in the first place! It's stupid politics. They had to know that THIS was a no-win politically. I think it was an attempt to damage Trump. It makes no sense that they created a plan which HAS TO BE FIXED LATER that 1) Will get called Trumpcare and 2) Will give the democrats ammo REGARDLESS of how they vote.

As I have said before: You had YEARS to come up with an alternative...and THIS is the best you can do? Spare me. This is yet ANOTHER reason why there is no difference between the dems and a MAJORITY of republicans.

Frelinghuysen: a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership, Republican Majority For Choice, Republicans for Choice, and Republicans For Environmental Protection. He has a 29% Liberty Score with Conservative Review = F.

In other words, a member in good standing with the large, center to left-of-center big government Republican squish contingent.

If the bill doesn’t go through the process I hope they stop talking about Obamacare being a disaster. Either fix it or live with it but please stop whining about it. Don’t be like Obama blaming Bush for years.

The reason Ryan is Speaker is that the RINOs dominate the GOP caucus.

CANTORIZE YOUR WEASELS, AMERICA!

I dont give a damn about media victories. I know we cant get the 60 votes needed to implement phases 02 and 3, therefore what passes with 51 votes will be the permanent law, and a poor one.

I want the GOP to put everything in the bill now, then constantly blame the Democrats for not repealing Obamacarpe while it collapses, premiums soar, and coverage plunges. Then leverage those Democrat voters to beat on their Democrat Senators, risking them losing thpeir Senate seats if President Trump uses his bully pulpit correctly, which I know he would.

At best, some of these Dem Senators may be forced to vote for the full repeal bill to keep their seats.

At worst, none of them are bullied into repeal, but the votsrs preplace some of them with Republicams, and the 60-vote path to full repeal in 2019 becomes much easier.

The GOP elite are cowards psettling for a partial solution, a bad solution.

Push full repeal NOW with 60 votes and leverage the Dem Senators up for election next year. If they wont play ball, just let it collapse. Everybody knows the Democrats own the cutprrent law lock, stock, and barrel and would be slaughtered by a further collapse of obamacare while Trump tweets daily how the obstructionist Democrats are killing your health insurance.

That’s right, you hand it to the Senate to see what’s in it.
