Authorities have arrested a 19-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen whom they have reason to believe is behind the recent threats on Jewish community centers across the U.S., the Jerusalem Post has learned.
As of Thursday, with a gag order on the probe lifted by the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court, which extended his detention, sources indicate that most of the cases of threats against Jewish communities and organizations, though not all, led investigators back to Israel.
The male suspect reportedly used computer programs to hide his location and has made similar threats in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
In recent weeks, over 100 threats have been leveled against JCCs.

This was probably a self hater; sadly they are rampant among the Jewish community, and as evidenced by Mordechai Vanunu, Up an Pappe, and others, exist in Israel too.
I think the Jewish Community is entitled to know the name and the face of this fool. He should not be protected, unless it is due to him being behind bars.
Terrorist threats in multiple countries.
He should get a life sentence in each country.
There is a Grievance Machine that is up and running, it requires fuel. It’s sick but makes sense that the machine owners end up re-fueling it more than those that the machine inflicts itself upon.
It is disappointing to see that the Arab grievance success example is so stellar and has wrought such benefits that it has inspired to act similarly even those whom the Arabs would destroy, their sworn enemies.
You would think they would abhor those tactics, but apparently not.

Jew, great guy. A local synagogue was defaced with swastikas, it was his son who was having mental health issues. It effected all of us, his angst, and this was before FMLA and he took a ton of time off. Think of this kids patents...

I am in Jerusalem, and people here are very unhappy about the situation. They are not sympathetic to this kid, that’s for sure. News reports in Israel say that he was not accepted into the Israeli army because he was deemed unfit, but there are no details as to why.
You noted out this person Mordechai Vanunu as being an example of someone who hates himself.
I looked it up and saw this is the name of the Israeli who disclosed that Israel had a nuclear weapons program, showing photos that proved the same.
I think that if anyone in the Middle East should be trusted with nukes then it should be Israel, but I don’t understand how that disclosure —though momentus— envinces self-hatred.
I think I can equate his disclosure very roughly with those of Edward Snowden, more recently.
There are those who support him and others who oppose him but I can’t understand the way this “self hatred” term is getting thrown around.
Few have said Ed Snowden HATES himself.
It seems what we’re dealing with is the idea that an in-group member should NEVER EVER stand up for some principle (nukes should be disclosed/The 4th Amendment Matters) if that act impacts the interests of other in-group members:

So I’m not sure you should be aspiring to Arab behavior, since so many of them have the idea that the perfect time in history was the 7th Century.

He betrayed his own people, hence a self-hater. On Snowden, he easily also can be argued to hate his American-ness, given how he betrayed his nation.

I understand this kid is a real loser. Unfit even for draft duty. And there is a slot for EVERYONE in the IDF. People with great mental and physical disabilities are put to work at the level of work they can do, for example. Pretty much have to be mentally unbalanced to not to make what-you-would-call “4F”
And he’s done real harm to the Jewish people as now people won’t take the real stuff seriously.

The guy was apparently making threats for up to three years. May have been taking bitcoin payments. Rejected for the draft by the IDF for mental and physical problems.
You make a good point, but...you could say he so loved his vision of what America is supposed to be that he accepted that his actions would require him leaving in order to stay alive.
It's puzzling that I frame it in those terms because for decades dirty, stringy-haired, pot-smoking hedonists waved such arguments in my face and they disgusted me.

I think the people who betrayed America were his superiors. As Ike warned us, our intel community is now so huge and powerful that members of congress, the media, Prez Candidates and even Prez Elects can be spied upon with impunity, the entire US media closing ranks to ensure the crimes are coverd up.
After the Snowden matter I first hated him, but then as the enormity of what he described became clear I gradually became a convert. Though he's mostly a Lefty I support his decision. Assange, too, bleached hair, an ex-Cultist and a Lefty, I also support.
I think we disagree about the nature of crime, loyalty and the basic Operating System of the USA, which for me is the Constitution.
I assumed that was the case but didn’t see it stated clearly.
He’s using an amusing paraphrase coined by Hollywood Jewish wits to describe Eli Wiesel’s constant advocacy of Jewish causes, ok? I’ve heard that remark since the brilliant movie was released and any Jew I ever knew laughed at it. Let’s not be so sensitive.
