(CNN) House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes said Wednesday that President Donald Trump's personal communications may have been picked up by investigators through "incidental collection."
Nunes said at a news conference he discovered the potential surveillance of Trump himself while reviewing intelligence reports, but said it was not related to Russia.

No more, "I didn't kno nuthin." No more, "I don't recall." Find the paper trail and nail them.
Let the Patriotic whistleblowers come forth. This is important for the survival of our Nation.
Zackly. What word would one use to describe monitoring someone’s cell phone conversations?
That is what I kept in mind also. Was so serious when he said it.
MAGA
The fact that Nunes said it was done legally means someone with authority signed off on it ! Legally but not constitutionally
In effect, Trump gives the press the antiquated "wiretapping" word as bait, knowing it's the easy thing to criticize in his tweet.
Then, everybody who cares about politics knows about Trump's claim of "wiretapping" because the Fake News widely paints Trump as stupid for not knowing that the wiretapping term is dated -- even though Trump tweeted the word "wiretapping" in quotes.
But now, as the truth gets revealed, the bait "wiretapping" word becomes insignificant in light of the hard evidence that unwarranted and illegal surveillance did occur!
What's more, CNN is now forced to cover the fact that its own Fake News stories are bunk because they emphasized the "wiretapping" story line for weeks. So the story has blown open in their faces.
Trump and Bannon have clearly mastered the game of three-dimensional chess.
Exactly! Go Jeff Sessions!
Yes, Trump was right again. And MSM - such as USA Today’s headline announcing that surveillance of Trump is debunked - is wrong again.
He has, in context, widened the definition of certain words well beyond the sound bite definition, and Media shills have been trapped in lies several times by this method.
It is not luck.
This reeks like a 3 day old homicide scene.
I think Trump used the word “wiretapping” deliberately.....b/c it’s embedded w/ the most ominous connotations.
It can also be interfaced w/ other ominous terms......like the scary word “surveillance.”
Ralph Peters was a virulent Trump hater during the election. He has already shown that he cannot be fair when it comes to Trump. Fox might as well ask Chuck Schumer for his “expert analysis” of this.
Nunes:
1.) On numerous occasions the [Obama] intelligence community incidentally collected information about U.S. citizens involved in the Trump transition.
2.) Details about U.S. persons associated with the incoming administration; details with little or no apparent foreign intelligence value were widely disseminated in intelligence community reporting.
3.) Third, I have confirmed that additional names of Trump transition members were unmasked.
4.) Fourth and finally, I want to be clear; none of this surveillance was related to Russia, or the investigation of Russian activities, or of the Trump team.
Never underestimate the stupidity of anyone in the media.
Obama has a vendetta against Trump ever since Trump forced him to produce the phony long form birth certificate that the MSM told us didn’t exist. There is no doubt in my mind that Obama was trying to destroy the Trump presidency in its infancy and to organize the Deep State resistance. This is far worse than Nixon and Watergate.
I agree, the connotations were key. Wiretapping suggests Watergate immediately.
And “wiretapping” is the kind of word that connects with deplorables (man-on-the-street) talk, meaning it can go viral as people talk on the subway or at work.
All the stuff that the Dilbert guy says about crowd psychology is second nature to Trump and his dark and lovable Rasputin, Bannon. LOL!
Much worse than Nixon and the MSM knows it. Expect them to dance lightly on the whole fake Russian angle while putting up walls to protect the former president. Remember how the Democrats fought like mad to stop the Patriot Act because they said the federal government would overstep its authority and spy on individual Americans? Uh huh.

Everything is “incidental” with these people..
The email server.
The missing emails.
The DNC rigging to dump Bernie.
Donna Brazille giving questions to Hillary.
Bill meeting Lynch on the tarmac.
Obama in Hawaii days before courts block Trump terrorist travel ban.
Obama setting up shop in DC after giving up reigns to Trump.
I could go on and on and on...
"Mr. President, I assume you're going to help me with the election."
"Why yes Hillary, how can I help?"
"Well, to be blunt, I need everything you have on Trump."
"We have lots of information, going way back, I'll check with Clapper and others and we'll get what you need."
"Thank you Mr. President. And, by the way, is there any way we can, say, get Trump and his cronies communications? That might really help before the election. No telling what bombshell might come up."
"We'll make sure it happens."
"Thank you Mr. President. We had a fruitful meeting today."
It's time to go for the top dogs.
Art. Did you listen to this.
