EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - A 19-year-old has been arrested for his connection to the murders of Derek Benjamin Greer, 15, and Natalie Partida, 16.
Gustavo Marquez has been booked on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping.
Marquez is also facing one count of child abuse resulting in death because Greer was only 15 years old.
The arrest is a step forward in the case that began when the teens' bodies were found on the shoulder of Old Pueblo Road about 3/4 of a mile south of Hanover Road on March 12.
"To know that somebody has been taken into custody, there's probable cause behind the arrest. Hopefully, it will bring them some kind of peace," Jacqueline Kirby with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.

Those “acts of love” are really murder.

Only a couple of local articles about it are up, something odd about this one. The official story is domestic violence but circumstances are strange and the way Border Patrol and State Police are handling it is odd too.
The BP drove upon this literally right after it happened- soon enough to catch the guy though an update claims he came out of hiding and turned himself into BP at the scene. BP turned it over to State Police immediately but in their call log the SP posted it as “assisting other law enforcement” when other calls logged that day all have the crime listed.
One of my daughters drove by the scene after BP was already there, she thought it was a drug stop but then said she could tell the woman was dead as she drove by the car.
Just seems odd, this one.

This filth’s time on earth—above ground—should be over. Grenade him, shoot, him, lower him into a shark infested lagoon after chumming it—just eliminate him. He forfeited his right to space and oxygen above ground when he murdered those innocent kids.
