At the outset of a pivotal week in Washington, FBI Director James Comey delivered a political gut-punch to President Donald Trump Monday — and the news possibly could get worse for the president in the days and weeks ahead.
In sworn testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, Comey said there was no evidence to Trump's claims that Barack Obama wiretapped him and Trump Tower, as the current president alleged in a series of tweets earlier this month. And he confirmed that his agency was investigating the 2016 Trump campaign's links with Russia's effort to intervene in the presidential election.

The headline should read “Comey delivers gut punch to MSM.”
They reported the surveillance and wiretapping over and over for months.
Comey did no such thing.
He verified that they have nothing on President Trump.
He and Adm Rodgers both defended their own agencies by testifying that they have no evidence as of yet that anyone in their organizations was responsible for abusing FISA or spying.
So either it was some other agency, i.e. CIA, DIA or Team Obama that broke the law, or some rouge agents in their own organizations were on the hook.
Basically , Comey and Rodgers testified that they were personally clean, Trump was clean and President Obama was clean as far as they could tell.
Next step is unmasking the perps.
He said he saw no evidence. That doesn't necessarily mean it didn't happen.
Either he might not be telling the truth or another agency might have been recording calls.
It's also possible that they listened in to Trump staffers calls to people they were wiretapping.
I don't know what happened, but people who believe something happened aren't going to unbelieve because of anything Comey said, so it's hardly a "gut punch."

I also caught a peculiar look on Comey’s face during the hearing when the press was discussed. It gave me a gut feeling that he leaked this crap to the press.
Comey should not only be relieved of that post... he should be investigated.

Trump and Sessions are not as dumb as you evidently think.
So, to rephrase that, Comey said; "There was no surveillance of Trump, we have been investigating Trump but we did it without surveillance."
I for one am glad that the FBI has stopped using surveillance to conduct its investigations.

That's one possibility. Another is that indicting a major party presidential nominee during a campaign would bring down a massive firestorm of rage on the head of anybody who tried to do it. Yet another possibility is that as part of the permanent government, Comey preferred Clinton to Trump.
Comey: Crime is only crime if committed by Republicans.
Yeah, he's so affected, he's off attending a huge rally in Louisville with his supporters.

I think Comey is royally screwed up. The DOJ’s role in the election needs to be investigated. And Mexico’s.
They can’t. Hilldog won the popular votes which should make it plain that if the russkies helped anybody, it was her.

The left's foundation is so full of big lies but their enemy, the truth, is slowly coming out. It's funny, I just read a thread about a leftist author was calling on leftists to buy guns to protect themselves from this nazi fascist movement led by Trump.
If these fools only knew, the people that pull their strings, use Goebbels nazi tactics against them. I try to remember to pray every day for President Trump's safety and for the continued truth to come out.
