Today’s session is about giving all 20 (!) members of the Judiciary Committee their chance to do an opening statement (pontificate and grandstand). Yikes to the 20 committee members. It’s one-fifth of the Senate for heaven’s sake. Somewhere through its post WWII history, the Senate got warped out of all common sense, what with bloated egos, bloated staff, bloated committees, ridiculous phony filibusters, earmarks, hyper partisanship, etc.
