Remember the date of March 13, 2017. It was the day President Trump was guaranteed his re-election and Republican congressional gains in 2018 and 2020.
It's not complicated. Follow along.
The Congressional Budget Office released its study of Trump and Paul Ryan's plan to repeal Obamacare and begin to reform our healthcare system. It had many numbers. Only two mattered: taxes and spending.
CBO announced that the repeal bill reduces taxes by almost $900 billion and reduces federal spending by $1.2 trillion over the next decade. This reduces deficit spending by $300 billion over the next 10 years. Thus the CBO, as official umpire, announced that the GOP Obamacare repeal plan may be enacted through "reconciliation," the process that requires a simple majority in the House and only 51 votes in the Senate. No filibuster allowed.
Perhaps equally important, the $300 billion in deficit reduction gives Republicans a great deal of wiggle room to amend their basic plan to win votes in the House and Senate to win those 218 congressmen and 51 senators. Tax cuts can be added into the mix. Thanks to the CBO score and the underlying power of the legislation, Obamacare repeal will now pass. The path is clear.
Yes, Democrats tried to focus on the CBO's guestimate as to how many Americans would choose to buy Obamacare insurance without the threat of fines and taxes. Answer: very few. This speaks to how unattractive Obamacare insurance products were and are.

Trump is the greatest American since George Washington. @020 is easy. I really think his sons or daughter will rule as president for 16 years after that!! Maybe 24!!
Posted at least four times before, why post again?
Because it is so awesome?

I entered the title in the Search Box at FR and did not come up with anything. You’re welcome to do the same to see if you get more than one result.
I hope that answers your question.
Great article.
Good news always bears repeating.
Thanks for posting!
No person is supposed to "rule" America.
They are supposed to serve America in office.
Certainly no politician rules me, ever.
Dubious. It may be proclaimed cost neutral, but the workers still pay, the lazy get the money.
Wow. I like Trump, but hate the Trump worship. Do you pray to him, too?
Then just read Bill Kristol tweet, he hates everything Trump, and waiting for his complete failure at every turn.
The Ryan plan is a Big Government plan. It’s 0bamacare 2.0.
Isn’t Grover that blue muppet? Dumb, but cute. Entertaining.
Only fools try to predict elections more than 26 days out.
Just ask Hillary
Sorry, but nothing is gsurenteed, nither GOP gains in 2018 or Trumps reelection in 2020, no matter how great a job Trump does.
Liberals got over 50% of the vote in 2016 (Hillary, Jill Stien and Bernie Sanders write ins). These people woul never switch over to Trump.
Also in 2020 you got those who were 14 to 17 years old in 2016 voting. They will be fresh out of the public school system and most will in college. They will vote very heavily Democrat.
Hillary was unpopular with many voters in her party and they voted for her anyway. If the Democrat voters of 2016 all love like Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker or Julian Castro, Trump is going to have a very rough time getting reelected.
Keep in mind it was three very strong blue states that carried Trump to victory, MI, WI and PA. Trump won all three by less than 1%. If Jill Stien wasnt around, Hillary would have won. If the Democrats have candidate they all like in 2020, Trump will lose. No matter how great he does.
Trumps EPA is throwing $100 million to fix the water problem in Flint Michigan.
This helps a mostly black community with a serious and costly health issue... it also will bring a lot of high paying jobs to the area.
Methinks Trump will easily win Michigan in 2020.
I agree with you. the only reason trump won was that Hillary could only win by destroying her oppositions electability. this would of worked against just about any of the other republican candidates but not trump because he does not play the same political game as the other republicans do. we need to be very aware that four years from now elisebeth warren or another democrat could win if the demacrat base stops attacking trump and allows the dust to settle enough so that there attack work again. at this point no one believes a word out pf the alphabet media but that could esily change
Agreed. An absurd statement.
And I’ve had it with dynasties.
How about for ONCE we take one day at a time and not look to 2036 yet.
He’s done a great job so far. As of now, the best president since Washington is IMHO Ronald Reagan.
He defeated an empire and set untold numbers of people free.
Most intellectuals laughed at him. They were worthless and still are.
He was a great man.
Amen.
