omi Lahren, a host on the conservative network The Blaze, has faced some backlash in recent days after saying she supports a women's choice to have an abortion during Friday's episode of the ABC show "The View."
Lahren's stance on abortion differs from President Donald Trump, who Lahren supported in the recent election. During the 2016 campaign, Trump vowed to appoint a pro-life Supreme Court justice.
"I am a constitutional (conservative)," Lahren said. "I am someone that loves the constitution and someone for limited government, so I can't stand here and be a hypocrite and say I am for limited government but tell women what to do with their bodies."
Immediately after her appearance on "The View," Lahren faced immediate backlash from pro-life conservatives.
One Twitter user wrote to Lahren, "You lost all credibility with the pro choice comment." Another wrote, "She claims to be conservative. She isn't. Credibility gone."
But Lahren took the comments in stride.
"I speak my truth. If you don't like it, tough. I will always be honest and stand in my truth," Lahren wrote on Saturday.
"I have moderate, conservative, and libertarian views. I'm human. I will never apologize, to anyone, for being an independent thinker," she added.
Lahren, 24, has more than 4 million Facebook likes, and her videos on the social media platform are frequently viewed by more than 1 million users.
Fake blonde, fake conservative.
As you say with Slavery.
I say that Abortion is worse than slavery.
At least with a slave, there still might be ray of hope in them or chance that liberation might come. At the least they can try and persevere against their odds.
Abortion is Death and Death is final.
They go on defense when they say something that indicates that they are really not conservatives. They are CINOs.
She has no educational or work experience, just a mouth. Thus, you’re right - perfectly qualified to be part of Beckland. Otherwise, no one cares what she thinks.
Why do you believe that “a nationwide ban on abortion would also be constitutionally incorrect?”
Abortion is MURDER!
Where is MURDER legal/constitutional in America?
One of the primary purposes of the federal government is to protect innocent human life. Abortion is murder.
I used to believe in abortion, but I changed my mind. Maybe she will, too.
If there is camera time in it for her, she surely will.
*waves*
This babe probably saw opportunity (look at all the Fox babes) to go places if she had a certain look, tight clothing, and said the right things. Unfortunately for her, she said the wrong thing when she decided it’s ok to kill the unborn.
In all honesty, I’m kind of sick of the endless parade of hot women with skanky clothing on Fox. I know the guys like them, but it’s getting a little old.
What I find curious about the opinions of many on this site is that outlawing abortion will stop it, or even make it lesser in numbers.
We all have a great laugh at gun control cities that have murder rates off the scale.
And in today’s world, 1000 underground clinics will pop up in no time. Plus the abortion pill will go black market.
You are trying to dictate morality and that ain’t gonna work.
Unless the country’s moral compass changes, all the laws in the world aren’t gonna make a dent.
God doesn’t want people to be forced to make the right decisions. That what free will is all about.
Plus it seems to many think their job ends at getting Row overturned.
It doesn’t. Foster caring, adoption, big brother/sister, donations to groups that care for these kids and even a nice chunk of federal and state money is needed to make sure these kids have a chance.
I dont see how one can be pro life and then turn away when the child is born.
Just sayin....
"Speak my truth"?..."Stand in my truth"? Major post-modernism red flag there. There is only THE truth, not "my" truth. Anyone espousing that new-age mumbo-jumbo is no conservative.
The problem is that there are many who claim to be conservative today, particularly among the "millennial" generation, who don't have the foggiest idea what that means. They're trying to grab hold of conservative ideas that make sense to them, but then mix them together with a variety of modern-day error and cultural idiocy in order to still appear "relevant" and "cool."
True conservatism is based upon timeless and inherently true principles that are intrinsically valid regardless of what anyone thinks or believes about them. American conservatism is simply a different name for our founding principles, which were and are based fundamentally upon belief in God and obedience to his laws and precepts. God is the source of natural law, which underpins our entire constitutional system.
The post-modern "conservative" pragmatists like Tomi appear to be blithely unaware of this and have instead concocted a bastardized philosophy that claims to be conservative, but which also allows them to still be one of the "cool kids." I think it's based more upon ego and self-promotion than upon any true principles.
Not surprising.
She has an all-consuming ego that can support it all.
Amendment X The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the People.
That was the status quo ante before 1974. If she were a Constitutional conservative, she would know that.
Murder isn’t a Federal crime in most cases. The definition of homicide belongs to the states, and Amendment X makes that very clear.
So murder is ok? States should decide if murder is acceptable?
And Tomi, once upon the time you too were an embryo, like all the rest of us. Before conception there was just a possibility of a person, after conception there you were, there was I, there we all were an embryo in our mothers’ wombs waiting for our future. This is why I believe abortion is not an acceptable choice. Prevention of conception, yes, elimination of a conceived person, no.
“You are trying to dictate morality and that aint gonna work.”

All laws dictate morality; you’d be surprised how many of them work when they are enforced.
Did the memo miss me where the Left has been defeated forever and we can start eating our own?
