Bartenders at a West Village hot spot served up discrimination with a liberal twist refusing to serve a customer because he was wearing a Make America Great Again hat, according to a lawsuit.
Greg Piatek, 30, an accountant from Philadelphia, claims he was snubbed and eventually 86d by workers at The Happiest Hour on West 10th Street over his conservative fashion statement, popularized by Donald Trump on the campaign trail, he told The Post.
Anyone who supports Trump or believes what you believe is not welcome here! And you need to leave right now because we wont serve you! Piatek claims he was told as he was shown the door by a manager.
The shake-up started when Piatek and two pals, after a visit to the 9/11 Memorial, ordered drinks at the posh tavern around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 28.
A female bartender served Piatek a $15 jalapeño margarita and his pals beers. But when he tried to order a second round, a male bartender noticed his hat and skipped them, he said.
One of Piateks pals pointed out it was their turn to be served, but the bartender scoffed. Is that hat a joke? the Manhattan Supreme Court suit claims.

Unfortunately political beliefs do not make you a protected class. Better to just go elsewhere.
If the rule is have the gay wedding cake then this should be fun to watch.
He has no case.
Go for the Gold $$$$$$$$$
F that. 8 years of being the victim then when our side fights back, we run way again? I hope he makes millions on the lawsuit.
I wonder if I went in with a Malcolm X hat;Obama hat, or a Martin Luther King hat and were refused service with a similar comment, if the media narrative would be the same? (Except for the NY Post, crickets...)
It’s not like he asked them to bake a cake.
Agreed. Let lefty businesses die on the vine, same with Target and Starbucks. I wouldn’t patronize blue states or counties, period if I could help it. Just screw ‘em. That being said, hope he wins a chunk of change.
Probably a “gay” snowflake bar anyway. I would have just left.
I feel much the same way. The guy apparently did talk to the manger, and instead of rebuking the bartender, made it worse.
I wouldn’t do business with them after that.
bake the damn cake
Apparently you haven’t been paying attention as every liberal political position has been turned into a protected identity.
Try to fire a Communist.
Yes he does, precedent was set in the homosexual/ cake shop cases............
He hasn't got a legal leg to stand on so I don't see him getting anything.
Private business, he’s a loon.
If a Black man with a BLM hat was refused service, what do you think the outcry (and legal remedy) would be?
It would because the plaintiff would be screaming "racism" at the top of their lungs. What does this guy have but being a Republican?
