The theory that Russia won the November election for Donald Trump through some vague meddling, so dominates cable news right now that it is worth summing up exactly what we know and what we do not know about that story. As of today, there is no evidence that the Russian government tampered with voting machines or hacked any votes in November. There's no evidence that the Russians collaborated with Donald Trump or his campaign to win the election.
There is no evidence that Russian propaganda swung a single vote away from Hillary Clinton.
There is in other words no reason to believe that Russia changed the course of American political history.
There is merely innuendo and conspiracy mongering and connecting probably irrelevant dots.
Lee Harvey Oswald spent time in Mexico City, okay, but what does that mean exactly? Nothing significant that we know of.....

The only anti-American forces trying to sway the election in favor of one candidate over the other was the media, and the 0bama administration.

The security on Clinton's server gave the Russians total access to state secrets and thus made Hillary Clinton totally subject to blackmail.
Who in the hell do you think the Russians wanted to win? It was not Trump.

The Russians did interfer in our campaign. They interfered by allowing many millions of dollars to go the the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton's themselves.
We got lucky. Putin's prefered candidate lost!
Some people were doubtless cheered that Donald Trump wanted a peaceful and even profitable coexistence with Russia — a Russia that had learned the hard way that communism stank.
Did that, of itself, carry the election? I’m skeptical.
It might be that, like a lot of American corporations do, Putin bet on both sides, so that whoever won he could say that he had been a friend.
Trump is better for Putin than Hillary would be. She was rattling sabres just for the sake of rattling them.
