In a comment that will no doubt outrage the feminist left, Paglia praised men for taking on the most dangerous jobs in society.
It is an absolute outrage how so many pampered, affluent, upper-middle-class professional women chronically spout snide anti-male feminist rhetoric, while they remain completely blind to the constant labor and sacrifices going on all around them as working-class men create and maintain the fabulous infrastructure that makes modern life possible in the Western world. Only a tiny number of women want to enter the trades where most of the nitty-gritty physical work is actually going onplumbing, electricity, construction. Women have played virtually no role in the erection of those magnificent towers in every major city in the world. Its men who operate the cranes or set the foundations or wash windows on the 85th floor. Its men who troop out at 2:00 AM during an ice storm to restore power to neighborhoods where falling trees have brought down live wires. Its men who mix the stinking, toxic cauldrons to spread steaming hot tar on city roofs. Last year in a nearby town, I drove by a huge, chaotic scene where emergency workers in hazmat suits were struggling with a giant pipe break, as raw sewage was pouring into the street. Of course all those workers up to their knees in a torrent of thick brown water were men! Ive seen figures indicating that 92 per cent of people killed on the job are menand its precisely because men are heroically doing most of the dangerous jobs in modern society.

[[The girls had always been snarky, feminist creeps to the guys. Do you think that either one of those guys offered to help with the heavy lifting?]]
I’m guessing no? lol
And what is really weird is she’s a feminist, lesbian of the left. I don’t quite get it, but I enjoy her thoughts on our culture whether it be men and women, universities, or Hillary. She’s very anti-Clinton in the same vein that Hitchens was. I love that.
Yabut I still don't see a sammich in front of me.
He told me it was summer and about 100 degrees in the shade. They just sat there drinking their beers.
Wow, that is true and great.
I despise the man bashing that is in every tv comedy these days, and in every greeting card for women. I hate feminism. Women are NOT victims in western society (though if Islam has its way we may be, again).
Vive la difference!
lol...
Don’t know for sure, but I think you might be missing one key ingredient.
Say that again!
A chick who makes sammiches. I know.
They are so skilled and brave, our property is great forest property, thus very steep north face mountain. The machine would crawl up the hill grabbing the tree at the base, cut it and lay it down gently in a pile, for the next machine to strip the branches and cut them in 20' lengths. They would balance the 100'+ tree with their boom so they don't tip backward or roll down the hill, what a feat!! Had to shake their hand when all done, they were amazing.
aw crap- didn’t know that- oh well- at least she is willing to buck the feminista agenda-
I like her. I’m not going to ask her to make me a sandwich.
She absolutely hates Hitchens because of his uneducated stance on religion. She’s pro-religion.
Life is hard. I get it.
Fred Reed sez: Show me one thing - with moving parts - invented by a woman.
There probably is, and Heddy (or is it Hedley) Lamar invented something pretty darned cool, but it’s still funny and does make a point.
at least they had machines so they didn’t have to go all Paul Bunyan with an axe.....
jk, always amazed at what a few good men can accomplish!
And to be candid, I am a “modern male” who is more at home behind a desk than with most types of manual labor. Most men and nearly all women in modern life depend greatly upon the brave hard-working men who do all the really tough and dangerous jobs in the world.
Yes, I saw a video of her some time back talking about Hitchens. I specifically Googled for her thoughts on Hitchens ‘cause I enjoy them both. Well “enjoyed” Hitchens, but at least I can still watch him on You Tube.
I despise the man bashing that is in every tv comedy these days...
I noticed about 2/3 of the way in that both of the cops had the personality/manerisms/perspective of a typical female, and the bad guy was classic male.
It made the rest of the show almost unwatchable because it was so obvious. It was basically two female cops, one played by a male, trying to track down an enemy, and you were being conditioned to despise him because he basically acted male.
I started noticing a lot of it on other shows after that.
It was clear that they were actually on a crusade to give the impression that male attributes are a thing to be avoided in your personality. And now we have pajama boy.
It’s one of the reasons I dumped TV.
My life sucks.
There are some great videos of Camille - one, a lecture on art in which she castigates both the left and the right for bad art and ignorance of good art. It runs about an hour and it’s fantastic.
