House Speaker Ryan should resign his post, says Lou Dobbs, the anchor of Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business Network.
Dobbs Tweeted his resignation call Tuesday morning after Breitbart posted a pre-election recording of Ryan saying he would never defend President Donald Trump, and as multiple GOP legislators walked away from Ryans Obamacare replacement proposal, the American Health Care Act.
In the audiotape, recorded Oct. 10, 2016, Ryan told his fellow GOP legislators that I am not going to defend Donald Trumpnot now, not in the future. Ryan spoke shortly after the public heard the Access Hollywood tape of Trumps conversation in which he said about women that when youre a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Dobbs followed up his call for Ryans resignation with two Tweets calling for the full repeal of Obamacare. One Tweet describes Ryans proposed alternative as RyanCare, and said it is failing.
According to the leaked audiotape, Ryan said about his reaction to Trumps comments:
There are basically two things that I want to make really clear, as for myself as your Speaker. I am not going to defend Donald Trumpnot now, not in the future. As you probably heard, I disinvited him from my first congressional district GOP event this weekenda thing I do every year. And Im not going to be campaigning with him over the next 30 days
Many of you on this call are facing tough reelections. Some of you are not. But with respect to Donald Trump, I would encourage you to do what you think is best and do what you feel you need to do. Personally, you need to decide whats best for you. And you all know whats best for you where you are.

Lou Dobbs hates him, lol.
Lou Dobbs is a nightly dose of common sense, and here’s one more example. Best journalist/pundit on the right.
Yea. He chewed him a new one last night. Now he is spitting him out.
I watched Dobbs last night and he was having a difficult time keeping the profanity in check regarding Ryan. It wasn’t showmanship, he was verging upon apoplectic at times.

Any patriotic thinking American hates Paul Ryan. He is a slick, sleazy, slimey, two-faced bastard.
Remember when Paul Ryan was considered a Tea Party candidate.
I love Lou. He’s great and has interesting guests. Great show.
Ryan said that back in October, I remember it. Not exactly a bolt from the blue.
YES!!!
And do it TODAY!!!
Rs snatching defeat from the jaws of victory again?
Paul Ryan is a scumbag “Eddie (Widow’s Peak) Munster” limp wristed weasel that needs to resign NOW!
That’s our Lou!!!
I don’t actually remember ever thinking that but I recall early on he was a “conservative” darling on FR.
I can respect Lou Dobbs.
Paul Ryan, not so much.
Of course Ryan should resign. How can the president expect to have any confidence in the Speaker after hearing this kind of disrespect, so typical of the RINO crowd who think they are too good for us.
Ryan needs to go but I’ll believe it when I see it. He represents the RINO faction that is the majority of the GOP Representatives and, as ‘one of theirs’, they’ll continue to support him.
I love Lou Dobbs and am suspicious of Ryan, but I think that this is a cheap shot.
Ryan’s comments about not defending Trump were clearly in the context of defending Trump’s statements on the Access Hollywood tape (about grabbing women by the genitals). Out of context.
Bill Clinton actually did the deeds that Trump only talked about and yet the entire Democratic Party circled the wagons around him and stood by him. We could have used a little of that back in October. But the Republican establishment decided to "go wobbly."
