White professors — especially “senior white males” — are under fire at Virginia Commonwealth University as an impediment to diversity and inclusion.
An extensive campus climate survey of faculty and staff at the large, Richmond-based public institution has found that the majority of employees are upset that not enough white male professors attend campus diversity trainings, not enough professors infuse social justice into their curricula, and not enough professors of color, especially female ones, teach at the school.

I guess their perfect recipe for inclusion and diversity would entail everyone except White males.
I love unintentional irony, and this is top spot in that category for the month.
Without white males, nobody can be everybody. They have their place in the hierarchy of every social construct, and if they did not exist, they would have to be invented.
Because these white males keep getting shoved to the forefront when everybody else shrinks back from the hard work ahead.
And hard work is a recurring duty.

The Unis have become a vast intellectual wasteland. They are over and not just priced that way.

(Yes, there are plenty of other races there with us. However, those folks have actually passed real academic courses. We know who they are. You marshmallows don’t, since they were studying while you were smoking pot and protesting, and reading third grade books.)

White male professors fed the alligators, hoping they would eat them last. No such luck. Schaudenfraude.
I earned my Ph.D. in physics from a top program 20 years ago and spent a few years teaching at small colleges in the Midwest. It was clear even then that, as a white male, I was not wanted or welcome on campus and that the future in academia belonged to blacks and women. I left for saner climes and never looked back. Academia can go F itself.
