One of the Senates leading Republicans predicted Sunday that there are a lot more shoes to drop in the probe of President Trumps connections to Russia and said Congress must call top Trump associates to Capitol Hill to testify.
Sen. John McCain of Arizona told CNNs State of the Union program that he remains troubled by growing evidence that leading aides to the president communicated with Russia throughout the presidential campaign last year.
He specifically said longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, who admitted last week to having conversations with the hacking group that claimed responsibility for the breach of Democratic Party emails, must come before Congress to answer questions.
Theres a lot of things about our relations with Russia that trouble me a lot, Mr. McCain said. Theres a lot of aspects of this whole relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin that requires further scrutiny, and so far I dont think the American people have gotten all the answers. In fact, I think theres a lot more shoes to drop from this centipede.
Its been revealed that ousted White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Attorney General Jeff Sessions each had meetings or phone conversations with the Russian ambassador during last years campaign.
Democrats and other critics have seized on those communications to make their case that the Trump campaign may have worked with Russian agents during the election, or at least passively let those agents work against Hillary Clintons presidential bid.
Specifically, they say the Trump campaign may have encouraged or willingly turned a blind eye to Russian hacks of Democratic Party emails and messages of Mrs. Clintons campaign chief, John Podesta. Both email dumps were deeply embarrassing for the Clinton campaign.

I wish a shoe would drop a scandal on McCain.
Mr. Trump has provided no evidence to support his claim, and congressional leaders including Mr. McCain and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican would not back up the presidents assertions Sunday.
Keep that in mind as you ponder Ryan's healthcare bill, Mr. President.
McCain, always ready to break faith and betray at a moment’s notice.
All the beatings over the head by the Viet Cong have taken a toll on old Juan...
Does anyone even care any more...?

The Obama wire-tapping gang still has to face the music.
(JIM0216 hat tip)......the issue isn't whether Trump was wiretapped (Obama admitted such and apparently, there was a FISA warrant issued for the wiretapping). The issue is whether there was probable cause to issue a warrant. Probable cause is defined as the reasonable likelihood that a crime is or has been committed by the person or at the place designated........
===============================================
(REAGANGENERATION2 HAT TIP)---Trump should be able to review all 2 or 3 FISA requests (if he hasnt already), and then let Congress determine if the requesters lied about the probable cause justifying them......then (1) youd prove perjury, and, even worse, (2) the intent was to abuse executive power.
===========================================
A good beginning....and then it gets downright lethal for the Obama gang:
Via Breitbart, JOHN HAYWARD observed that the FISA court may have approved a warrant submitted without Trumps name but which Obama then misused to spy on Trump and many connected to Trump.
Ergo the most serious legal jeopardy that might be faced would be (a) perjury for lying to the FISA court, and, (b) the dissemination of collected intelligence that should have been kept tightly classified.
===========================================
It is also entirely possible that Obama and his legal team may have perjured themselves before the FISA court by willfully withholding material information in order to manipulate the FISA courts willingness to permit the government surveillance.
FALSIFYING GOVT DOCUMENTS would fall under the Crimes Act of 1958. Moreover, falsifying official documents is the criminal MO to hide larger crimes.
EXCERPT A person falsifying documents can be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.
Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility
Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years.
And if official government documents or govt authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. Legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.
Many different types of acts can be considered as falsifying a document, including:
◾Altering or misrepresenting fact-based information
◾Stating false information when requested to provide truthful statements
◾Forging a signature
◾Using official letterheads without authorization
◾Knowingly using or distributing a fake document
The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.
REMINDER TO SELF :
Find the comment naming McCain, Romney , VanderSchoof and McMuffin as the purchasers of opposition material on Trump by three exWSJournalist They hired Steele and an XKGB to dig up dirt (the same who used 4chan)
When Trump won election they gave the material to HER to use.
McCain needs to have hammer dropped on him
Trump’s campaign “willingly turned a blind eye” towards the DNC hack....
Don’t know if McCain said that or if it was the reporter. Totally ridicolous either way. So now it is Trump’s fault that the DNC (read Debbie W-S) had no IT security at all - and what they did have appears to ha e been Paki spies.
Interesting that Lindsay Graham seems to have fallen off the “Straight Talk Express”. McCain sounds just like his former aides, who populate the network shows with a constant stream of bile against Trump, both before and after the election and on Election Nite as know-nothing “experts”.
If someone credible had said this, I might care.
this coming from a guy who was/is pals with al Baghdadi. Yea ok John
Never forget...
The New York Times endorsed McCain in the 2008 primaties.
His "conversations" were a short Tweet initiated by Gucifer 2.0 ( a single person, not a hacking group )long after the DNC leaks. McCain is trying to imply that Stone talked to Gucifer before the leaks ( thus was responsible for the leaks - which weren't even done by Gucifer ). Politico also talked to Gucifer after the leaks.Why isn't McCain calling for them to appear before Congress ?
McCain...
The Republican that took large political donations for his campaign from the DNC and, specifically, Hillary Clinton.
Has spent more time attacking Trump than he EVER did Obama.
Of course, but when the election time came, they tossed The Maverick overboard and supported Obama. You would think McCain would remember that, but nope! He’s reaching across the aisle again to the Democrats/MSM (wish he’d stay on the other side).
And McCain endorsed Obama in the general.
McCain loves to virtue signal and attack his own. He clearly wanted Hillary to win. Their foreign policies were more aligned and he could have gotten amnesty.
McCain is starting to panic....wonder what the cia/nsa/fbi has on him that he is so worried about getting out.
McNuts learned well from his communist friends, err, captors! Or, did he learn from his ISIS buddies?
McCain is attacking Trump on “Russia connections” when it is clear that Hillary sold our uranium to them and that Podesta had dealings there. The only conclusion is that McCain also has something to hide that is somehow
connected.
