The Rotterdam riots, which required a state of emergency to be declared by the Dutch government, are part of a larger unfolding drama involving provocations by the Turkish government inciting millions of Turkish citizens living in European countries.

The current crisis began when the Dutch government prevented the Turkish foreign minister from landing in the Netherlands to hold a political rally in Rotterdam in support of dictator Erdogan and an upcoming referendum in Turkey intended to give Erdogan more power. The foreign minister then landed in Metz, France.

Hopefully these riots will help convince the fence-sitters in the Dutch electorate that everything Geert Wilders has been saying about Islam in Europe is correct. Although if they haven't been convinced by now, there's probably little hope for them.

The power of the Establishment is strong. It has been indoctrinating Europeans for about 60 years, at least.

Holding rallies in Netherlands for elections in Turkey. What does that tell us?

Um...

Holding rallies in the USA for elections in Mexico, India, and the Philippines?

I was going to add China and Vietnam to that list, but they don’t have elections.

Erdogan must have been born stupid. This ought to insure a Wilders victory. Right up there with Hilary's "deplorables" comment.

Turkey is a much more populous country and it sits in a strategic place. Erdogan is going for the power to be able to (among other things) dissolve parliament, which makes it very interesting that he is making racist attacks against the Netherlands and Germany while trying to gain the sort of one-man power that was enjoyed by another leader who so famously leveled racist attacks.
