President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for the first time on Friday, and invited him to the White House, a Palestinian spokesman said.
The call was the first contact between the two leaders, coming after complaints by Palestinian officials that they have failed to establish contact with the Trump administration. According to a senior Palestinian official, the conversation lasted only several minutes. The official added that Trump told Abbas that he knows he is committed to peace.
"President Donald Trump invited President Abbas to visit the White House very soon," spokesman Nabil Abu Rdainah said after the phone call.
According to the Abu Rdainah, Trump wants to discuss with Abbas ways to resume the peace process. The U.S. president stressed his commitment to a process that will lead to true peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Abbas, on his part, emphasized his commitment to peace as a strategic stance, in order to bring about a Palestinian state side-by-side with the State of Israel.

“Abbas, on his part, emphasized his commitment to peace as a strategic stance, in order to bring about a Palestinian state side-by-side with the State of Israel. “
The Palestinian Lie Du Jour! Trump needs to tell Abbas that he has to stop all the killing of Israelis or face our wrath.
That will largely be a waste of time. Abbas is an empty suit who has little power outside Ramala.
So what? He does that with everyone. He invites his friends AND his rivals.
Dump Abbas in the Potomac....
Hopefully, it will be a "come to Trump moment" that will enable Abbas to realize the realities which he faces.
Why should they face American wrath for killing Israelis? Why not just Israeli wrath? We don’t need to be involved in the situation at all.
I suspect President Trump invited him over so he could scold him in person; maybe slap him around a bit. Will have a greater impact than via telephone.
He should treat the Pali’s the same way 0bama treated Israel.
"Hey Mahmoud, you're having the pork chops. They're great"
Indeed, Trump needs to realize Pali funds go back into democrat coffers to overthrow his presidency..
If Trump does get him to the WH, I hope he gives him the same cold shoulder like Obama gave Netanyahu. Bring him through the rear entrance where the kitchen deliveries are made. Then let him cool his heals while Trumps eats dinner.
Hopefully, it will be a “come to Trump moment” that will enable Abbas to realize the realities which he faces.
Palestinian President?
How can you be a president of a country that does not exist?
The Palestinians are all welfare parasites. They produce NOTHING except suicide bombers. They exists strictly on the UN and other countries to feed them. If the UN were to be shut down, these lowest form of Arab would cease to exist withing 3 months.
“Why should they face American wrath for killing Israelis? Why not just Israeli wrath? We dont need to be involved in the situation at all.”
Israel is a loyal ally and we don’t turn our backs on genuine friends. Their enemies are our enemies and need to be destroyed.
Abbas can’t do or agree to anything because Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, etc. Will immediately put a bullet in his head.
Trump should ask OPEC to give money to Abbas, since the OPEC cartel is trying to bankrupt American oil frackers by driving down the price of oil.
That could have been accomplished with a tweet.
Israel, like most if not all nations, is neither genuine nor our “friend” (recall Bismark). They’d stab us in the back as fast as anyone if it suited their national interests — I think the surviving crew of the USS Liberty know that all too well. I don’t advocate going to war or expending wrath on behalf of any nation, least of all a country who has never fought side by side with us...Despite how much we’ve done right in their backyard, much of which has benefitted Israel indirectly. Yes, I understand that there have been extenuating circumstances on that score with regards to logistics and Arab allies, but Israel has never extented anything for us, except a hand grasping for yet a few billion more in aid.
At the White House dinner, dose him with LSD and serve him roast pig cooked Italian style with the apple in its mouth. Of course make the video instantly available.
*Temple I should say, not Bismarck
