And yet gas prices in my neck-o-the-woods has increased $0.50 in the past week. “Switching over to summer blend” was the excuse given.

Yeah. It’s up about 15 cents from a couple of weeks ago. I suspect it will be down soon.

Then why has gas never gotten below $3.00 in Reno? Wow. That's about 50% higher than the price in Upstate New York.

It’s because of the “global uncertainty” created by the “erratic” U S President.
Oh wait. That would drive oil up.
Never mind.

It’s called taxes. Here in GA we pay 2.10 per gallon on regular. It would be even lower but they increased the taxes on fuel here last year.

Give it time, Trump opened up the Gulf of Mexico for drilling, then we are getting the pipeline, he’s going to bring it down to a buck I am betting.

Filled up yesterday paid $1.61 a gallon up to 20 gallons but that is using my Win Dixie points card.
Buy a bottle of Cane Rum about $19 get 0.25 off a gallon.
Buy a 8 pack of thin cut pork chops get 0.35 off a gallon.
You would be surprised what items you buy all the time have these points.
That being said I never pay more than around 1.75 a gallon.

Summer blend is the cheapest blend they make.
Winter blend requires more expensive “light” components, while summer can use the heavy crap.
