In an exclusive interview with The Brody File, Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint says after meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office, he believes the president seems very serious when it comes to listening to concerns from conservatives over the new GOP healthcare bill. He seemed a lot more receptive than the word we had gotten from the House that this was the bill, take it or leave it, DeMint tells us. DeMint spoke with me Thursday afternoon in DC.

Sure.
thanks to all of those who got on the stick against lyin ryancare (obamacare lite) monday night. it was torture to read it but we got through it. keep the pressure on them.
the bill they got to obama’s desk last year was better and cleaner than this. don’t forget that.
.
Best bill: Nothing, just repeal all of the crap and get government out of the people’s business.
.
I tweeted the POTUS today my tweet was as follows....Mr. President if you need 60 votes to REPEAL Obamacare put ALL legislators and their staffs on it with an EO, you will have your votes ASAP!!!
.
We just need to put the ignorant concept of “health insurance” to death.
Doctors and drugs never have, and never will produce health.
.
first step to that: stop this bill in the house.
‘I really really am going to be unhappy if the purists (yes, I want full repeal, yes I want a fully free market capitalist society to be the final determination of the health care delivery system) who are angry at the way this bill is written, warts and all, keep this from happening.’
I’m highly pragmatic. But here’s the line in the sand for me —
STATE LINES.
I can understand squishiness about concerns over the poor. BUT ....
I have no respect over squishiness over big bucks lobbyists.
Blocking competition is anti-freedom and pro-cronyism.
99% of voters don’t give a rat’s rear about the profit margins of monopolies and cronies. We want options as healthcare consumers.
I’m FRiends with an herbalist???
WOW!
[I’ll be private messaging for advice.]
I’m curious how these reforms affect herbalist regulagion.
Be careful about directly suggesting health remedies to people. You can make personal accounts of your own experiences, but ...
... even then ...
I learned the hard way that even mentioning a personal experience is tricky. Pseudofed [along with God knows what other factors] used to wreak havoc with my long term memory. I once remembered something wrong and someone got really messed up after hearing a flawed personal account.
‘Nobody needs a ductor unless they are anxious to die.’
A lot of doctors and perhaps half of all chiroptractors are indeed quacks.
But ...
Others are gems beyond value.
‘Best bill: Nothing, just repeal all of the crap and get government out of the peoples business.’
Not politically realistic.
But we need some genuine headway here — we should AT LEAST allow competition across state lines.
Why does Trump insist that he can’t do it this year? That ought to be EASIER than pushing Ryan-care. It’s a disaster.
If the President allows rino care to replace obamacare, he has become just another DC politician who lies like a dem-rino Congress critter.
[we’re witnessing is continued silent support for Obamacare from some Republicans.]
You are guilty of telling the truth and of rational thought that the dem-rino regime hates, good sir.
[You cant just jerk medical coverage out from under those who are currently covered. That would leave millions without coverage.]
Your wrong, most of the recipients who pay nothing for their healthcare are the illegal aliens who say they don’t vote but do and for the democrat welfare recipients who hate working for a living. It is time for the government to drop all healthcare as they will only cause costs to increase for those who work and can not afford healthcare at all. It is a big mess caused by awful DC politicians looking to live off their foolish supporters who say give me free every thing and the hell with all those who work for a living.
Same here. That was something Trump specifically promised and it's an important reform. I don't see how that would have to be delayed for some "phased in" easing of the changes either. It would be immediate relief for consumers.
You have friends in low places as well as high ones, Arthur! lol
I don’t know of any affect these reforms have on herbalism. This is all about insurance, not actual health care, and insurance doesn’t cover herbs. Other than that most regulation of herbs is about manufacture and sale not clinical practice. The government hasn’t “approved” of it. Which might be a good thing.
Is Trump being consumed by the DC bubble?
Is he going to lose touch with the people who put him there?
Repeal...just repeal it!
‘The government hasnt approved of it. Which might be a good thing.’
Hah! How true.
.
They could all be “Gems” personally, but the methods required by law for an allopathic practitioner make them all killers.
.
>> “It would be immediate relief for consumers.” <<
Sounds like a “Win - Win,” doesn’t it!
There has to be something we are not seeing.
We need to know whose ox is on the block, and I can’t even imagine who might be able to tell us.
