Istanbul (AFP) - Turkish, Russian and US military chiefs held talks on Tuesday in the southern Turkish city of Antalya to discuss regional issues including Iraq and Syria, the Turkish army said.

This AFP base article is very lacking in details. This IS NOT about coordination on military actions. Turkey is totally of the rails about their military actions. They shoot people on the slightest pretext in their own country, pull the same thing with the help of Iraq Peshmerga in Iraq (probably for money), and the took to peaceful towns yesterday near Manbij just outside the area being protected by U.S., Russian, Syrian Army and other coalition forces. They killed our allies in SDF and civilians. It was done with Turkish and their related Arab Jihadi forces.

This is not about coordination. It is about Erdogan going rogue trying to impede the capture of Raqqa.

And remember the deal he made with ISIS for them to leave Al-Bab? Yes, he did. What were the terms of the deal? There were reports of him allowing ISIS to rebadge and rearm joining Turk allied militias.

ISIS is a Turkish proxy, and until Obama departed, it was our proxy too.

With the arrival of Trump, and the de facto rapprochement between Trump and Putin, Turkey sees the writing on the wall. They are trying to make the best deal they can as it all collapses. Mainly they will give up ISIS but reserve the right to kill Kurds.

I’d rather have the Generals talking than having politicians make any more decisions. From all we’ve read over the past few years, it does seem that there are some real bad guys that all of the established forces can agree need disintegrating.

McCain was. He was also mouthing off against the administration. One has to wonder why he isn’t charged with Sedition or arming terrorists, or something.

Certainly agree, Generals are no BS types most of the time. The State Dept. thinks they are indispensable but they aren't.

I’m sure Trump did. Erdogan chose to hear something else.
